July 3, 201015 yr Far too much Simple Minds/Jonny Hates Jazz to this band - I really didnt like this sort of music back in the 80s and I dont think I'm going to like it now.
July 10, 201015 yr 'Wonderful Life' is a brilliant track which has at least gone top 10 in a few countries like Cyprus, Denmark, Greece and Macedonia. Their stage presence reminds me of The Sparks meets Pet Shop Boys. Less so Erasure because Andy Bell was far more charasmatic on stage. I don't particularly have high hopes for Hurts doing well in the UK. However, I can imagine them becoming more popular across Europe. They've already got a head start anyways. At least the Europeans appreciate a good song when they hear one. Edited July 10, 201015 yr by Hitstastic
July 10, 201015 yr I might give this a listen actually. Wonderful Life was rather brilliant, even if I wasnt ultra-keen on Better Than Love.
July 10, 201015 yr Freemasons are working on a remix, which either means it'll be: a ) Brilliant, amazing. B ) Awful. In the meantime, here's some artwork for the single- http://informationhurts.com/media/gallery_images/lightbox/26.jpg Edited July 10, 201015 yr by Doctor Blind
July 11, 201015 yr 'Wonderful Life' was no. 1 in my personal chart back in January but if the Freemasons remix is brilliant, I can see the track re-entering due to its new lease of life. Hurts deserve to have some decent chart success with this track. Liking the cover art too. I'm assuming they're reshooting the video to make it more "MTV friendly". :D
July 13, 201015 yr That they are. And here's the Freemasons remix: 2PuN9cYeqK4 Not bad, not bad at all. Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, The Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain and Sweden get a new digital EP from them yesterday, The Belle Vue EP (not the UK, Ireland or Germany tho). http://cdn.7static.com/static/img/sleeveart/00/009/074/0000907437_350.jpg 1. Wonderful Life (Radio Edit) (New Version) 2. Wonderful Life (Arthur Baker Remix) 3. Better Than Love (Radio Edit) 4. Better Than Love (Jamaica Remix) JEALOUS of the last track, amazing mix, never got a UK release...
July 14, 201015 yr Belle Vue eh? Near Gorton in Greater Manchester. I assume they've named the EP after the place then? The Freemasons remix of 'Wonderful Life' isn't bad but the original is still much better. 1. Wonderful Life (Radio Edit) (New Version) I'm interested in this. Hope it's not too different from the original version. Edited July 14, 201015 yr by Hitstastic
July 14, 201015 yr Agree the origina is better. The new version is just kind of louder as far as I can tell. Slightly harder beat.

August 5, 201014 yr AMAZING. Have heard some tracks from the album now, I am fairly certain that they will be the soundtrack of my life.
August 5, 201014 yr The new version of 'Wonderful Life' is thankfully similar to the original version I was charting back in January - the only difference, as far as I could hear, is there are more backing vocals on the chorus. I'm gonna be interested in seeing how this fares. It was a buzz single initially so hopefully those that wanted the buy the song seven months ago will now get on iTunes.
August 5, 201014 yr I still think it might do surprisingly well. Honestly it's not going to #1 but I can see it top 20 easily, and maybe it might scrape top 10.
August 6, 201014 yr I'm gonna be interested in seeing how this fares. It was a buzz single initially so hopefully those that wanted the buy the song seven months ago will now get on iTunes. Did everyone know it was already out in January? I didn't. It's probably new to most people.
August 6, 201014 yr I don't like the new video that much. Maybe I'm just used to the original's low budgetness.
