Posted July 5, 201015 yr Cheryl Tweedy dramatically collapsed at a photo-shoot sparking fears she may miss the next X Factor audition. The exhausted singer fainted in a studio on Saturday – suffering from a severe stomach bug on top of her tiredness. Doctors called to the scene ordered Cheryl, 27, to have a complete rest and take time out from her punishing work schedule. The Girls Aloud star had gone through with the shoot despite looking “washed out” on arrival. It is believed make-up staff had to take extra care to cover her pale skin. But as soon as she was under the lights in the North London studio she was clearly perspiring. Cheryl has hurled herself into work as a buffer against the pain of her upcoming divorce from love-rat ex Ashley Cole. And since returning from a brief sunshine break with her dancer friend Derek Hough last month she has not had a single day off. Cheryl was also shocked and scared when she was grabbed by an over-excited fan outside her hotel after a show. Last night an X Factor source said: “It’s still far too early to say whether Cheryl will be able to make the next audition. “Everyone is desperately hoping she makes a swift recovery. July 5, 201015 yr Aaaw Chezz :( Not surprising though after all the intensive work and personnal drama she's been through for nearly a year now. She needs a break (but I still want that new album this winter ^_^ )
July 5, 201015 yr Aww Cheryl! :( I thought she was handling it all really well, a very big schedule and the press bothering her all the time. But I guess it all had to hit her eventually. I hope she gets better soon, GMTV were saying she's having a meltdown. Lord I hope not, it's only exhaustion.

I definitely wasn't expecting malaria either. :\

Frail Cheryl, 27, could also be forced to scrap a gig at the V Festival. And her management are ready to put the October launch of her new album on ice. The GIRLS ALOUD singer spent a THIRD night in intensive care yesterday at a Surrey clinic and faces a six-month struggle back to fitness. At risk ... Cheryl Cole on X Factor panel Rex Her condition is understood to be worse than feared and she is plagued with headaches and fever. A spokesman confirmed: "It is a lot more serious than first thought. Everyone thought she would pull through after 24 hours but there have been no signs of improvement. "She is very ill and will not be out of hospital for a while. Everyone is holding their breath. "Because of her hectic schedule, the malaria has really taken a hold. "She has not got the physical strength to beat it. She is going to need all of her Geordie grit to win this battle." Cheryl is now in a specialist unit that deals with tropical diseases. A source said she was also "hit hard" by powerful medication used to combat the mosquito-borne illness - which can be fatal. He added "It isn't pretty. There are fears that because she is so delicate, permanent damage has been done to her liver. "She is so tiny - the medication is hitting her hard."
