To not sing about stuff like Love At First Sight at the age of 34, she has always been not acting her age, but this is my opinion we all have are opinions and i'm certainly not starting an argument.

Ah my darling Sporck Queen :snif: she got married and that buggered up her song writing for HR

Now we can see a change in her appearence and she is going back to sprock so she can retake that second place

I like Anastacia, but I honestly think that last album/era damaged her so much that there's no way she'll find a way back from it. :( When she comes back it'll probably be at least 7 years since she was last successful, and at her age (I hate to bring age into it) she faces a big big struggle to claw back.

What an interesting list so few English singers make the grade.Of course Aretha will remain Queen of Soul because no one will ever touch her.Sylvester the Queen if Disco oh well horses for courses.Taylor Swift one of the Queens of Country Music is she even 20 yet.So many Queens of Pop how strange.

Like Aly said I think it's too late for her now. She's revealed her age and as a woman past 40 it's always harder to find big success again. I know everybody blames the way HR turned out on the record label and her marriage but she's a woman who'd been in the industry for 10 years, I'm sure she must've had a say, and she did want to release the awful title song when I Call It Love, the only song real 'sprock' song there, should've been a single instead. I'd like her to though, I often think her third album is the best album ever made so it'd be lovely to have a big comeback from her.

Overall queen of pop is Madonna.

Last 10 years queen of pop is Britney.

I can't put Kylie in the same league as Madonna.

Kylie is not that big seller like Madonna WW.

Madonna is everywhere (still)..

So Madonna & Britney. ;)

That Wiki list is ridiculous in places...

Prince of Pop: Justin Bieber?! LMFAO. Seriously?

according to wiki kylie sold 68 million and Britney sold 83 million.

You seem very obsessed with Kylie for somebody who is so adamant that she's an unsuccessful failure. I think you secretly love her. I bet you rushed out to buy Aphrodite yesterday didn't you? One of many who did.

If you check in wiki Kylie was not put down as one of the Queens of Pop, now thats shocking.

Anyone can change wiki.

Very mature comeback, we dont need to resort to being petty it is just a debate.

And 68 million is amazing for someone who does not sell in the US, the worlds biggest market. Just think those sales are mainly from everywhere else, how amazing is that?

I don't think Kylie is a failure, I LIKE her but I don't LOVE her, the reason why i WAS a bit harsh on her because I LOOOOOOVE Britney. Hating Kylie doesn't exsist.

I think certain factors are to be discussed to find the true Queen of Pop e.g.

Sales

Awards

Inspiration

Talent

Experience

Performance

Looks

I'll be happy with a new sprock album either way, i also think she is over in terms of selling millions of albums. A bit like Alanis Morissette, she carries on

releasing (amazing) albums that keep selling less and less when they deserve to top the charts for many months each.

I honestly can't believe people think it is anybody else but Madonna?

There are so many fantastic female artists out there all with their own unique talents and great set of songs etc but she can't be out done. I'm not a massive fan but her achivements and her musical impact put her up there with Elvis, The Beatles, Jacko etc in my opinion.

I'd have said Britney was a forerunner 5 years ago but not now. Kylie Minogue is the only worthy runner up though I'm sure there's loads of oldies like Whitney, Celine, Diana Ross, Aretha Franklin etc that can also be considered [even if they do dabble in soul and RnB more...].

It's already been 2 years and she's not at 55 million yet. And if your talking about total records sold Kylie is well over 100 million
