There were 15 last month so combining the two has definitely effected it. I wonder if it's time to get rid of it, nobody bothers with it or likes it anyway...

 

Although I personally do think it's been beneficial. Not so much this month where there's bugger all cheap out, but certainly in the respect of keeping the likes of California Gurls and Dancing On My Own away from guaranteed utterly pointless wins.

Time to get rid of it? :o I certainly don't think so, it's been a vital buffer. I think the main reason it's fallen so much this month is that there's barely anything ban-list worthy out - we dealt with most of the torrent last month :lol:

But still, it doesn't seem very democratic to keep it if only 5 out of 50 people take part in it and most people are against it. I guess wait and see until a 'cheap month' to see how many people do it then and decide from there.

No need to preach to the converted, I completely agree with you. But even though the silent majority don't say anything (obviously, they never do :lol:), the fact that they're not nominating or having any part in it plus the fact that 3 out of the 4 mods don't agree with it speaks volumes. If it ceased to exist and suddenly people could (and they would) send stuff like California Gurls again, I'd almost certainly leave the contest due to utter pointlessness and the winner being pre-determined every month again, but that's besides the point :heehee: To have the measure here just to please 5 or 6 posters out of 50, when the other 45 participants were obviously happy enough without it, does set alarm bells ringing :lol:
