I reckon JLS' chance has gone now given they've dropped so much on iTunes. It's probably 50:50 between Katy and B.o.B. and I just can't call it - although I think both will overtake JLS and finish in the top 2 spots.

I certainly hope so. At least the crap no. 1 singles in 2007 and 2008 were still average (ie; likeable) but JLS's new single is, imo, an embarrassment to the UK music industry. As I posted last week, it all reeks of Robbie Williams releasing 'Rudebox' as a single. Even his loyal fanbase "only" got him to #4 (which was still too high for such $h!te) so hopefully JLS will follow suit. Could be a disaster too if this fails to go no. 1 as 'The Club Is Alive' should be a taster for the new album. If this is the taster, the album could be appalling.

It's a shame we had no big releases this week to stop JLS. In a normal week with big releases, they would have never had a chance to reach the top spot. Just imagine if they released it the same week than Katy Perry did, they would have been destroyed

Well, if we exclude Helping Haiti single the average #1 sales will be about 65-70k I guess. I think JLS will sell about 70k this week too so we can't say that in normal situation they wouldn't get #1. It *is* a normal situation approximately. I'll get my words back if JLS sell this week less than 60k.

Does commercial radio do total sales of itunes aggregated across the week now as their chart show? I'm sure they give the top10 at the start weirdly. Should give some clues to the official result later (although other downloads and physicals will effect)

The top 10 they give at the start of the week is the total sales on iTunes from Sunday-Wednesday, so it'd probably go #1 JLS, #2 Katy, #3 B.o.B, and I don't think it'd help very much. The top 10 they give at the end will be the live top 10 on iTunes (and they don't combine songs), so it'd probably go #1 B.o.B, #2 Katy, etc.

76.2k in fact - so HH raises the average by 14.5k on its own...

Is there any chance that Eliza could go Top 5.I wonder if Plan B and Adam will be on any chat shows they deserve good positions.Savan Kotecha who wrote TCIA has sent a tweet asking people to get it back to No 1 on itunes.

Shockingly he also sent one asking people to request SWY on radio, I am both alarmed and scared.

Does anyone know how much "I Like by Keri Hilson" has sold altogether?

Woah, Katy's lead has gone bigger!

B.o.B

- #1 iTunes

- #2 Amazon

- #2 HMV Digital

- #2 Play

- #3 7Digital

- #5 Tesco

Katy

- #2 iTunes

- #1 Amazon

- #1 HMV Digital

- #1 Play

- #1 7Digital

- #2 Tesco

And i'd say Katy has around 2-3k Physical sales.

I cant wait for this chart show :P

And Btw, Are they still counting the sales today for the show tomorrow as well?

yes

Thanks :D

So they dont count the sales past midnight?

Sorry for being such a nag :(

Dave's chart is based on estimations without having the full information available - so I still think Katy can be #1 even if she doesn't overtake B.o.B. on iTunes.

If JLS end up #1 on Sunday, it'll be because their lead in the early part of the week was so large that they've managed to sustain the huge deficit they're currently enduring (B.o.B. 50% sales ahead of them).

Gonna stick my neck on the line and go for:-

#1 Katy

#2 B.o.B.

#3 JLS

With about 1,000-2,000 sales between the lot of them.

I agree with all the above, I'm gonna stick my neck out as well and say Katy will remain at #1

Lucky TiPs predicta game went AWOL last week, most predictions would have went all south :heehee: if the above happens.

Imo you are normally accurate with your calculations so I hope you are correct once again! :D

Also, there should be a "shoot offensive poster" emoticon because

TCIA is SLOWLY growing on me! :drama:

I dont think Katy will be number 1- considering JLS and B.o.B were the top 2 on friday, Dave's chart has never been THAT inaccurate before, so I think she'll be number 2 at best

At least if JLS do make number 1, it will be extremely close, they will plummet next week and nowhere near the runaway number 1 that their record company expected- so this will teach them to make decent songs for them and not release any old rubbish and expect it to sell because its them- their not THAT big yet

The bad thing is I've actually quite liked it for a while :o it's when the beat comes in for the chorus.
