ET knows… While there's no word if the pop princess herself will appear on the hit show, "Glee" creator/writer Ryan Murphy tells ET that the show is currently in the middle of writing a Spears episode. The hit show, earning 19 Emmy noms Thursday, will also air a big tribute episode after next year's Super Bowl, but Murphy didn't reveal which star it will be based on, only hinting that we were "close" by guessing Michael Jackson.

July 12, 201015 yr OMGOMGOMG! BRITTANY TO SING 'PIECE OF ME' PLEASE! "I'm Mrs Oh My God that Brit(any)ney's shameless!" GAHHHHHHH! Not overjoyed about 'Oops!' though. :( One of my least fave Britney songs. Hopefully Quinn does 'Baby One More Time' or 'Everytime'.

July 26, 201014 yr Sorry guys, but that tweeter got the wrong end of the stick! :drama: Here's what I posted in the Glee forum: I'm re-reading my post and I actually think that poster probably got the wrong end of the stick... well the ep is rumoured to be named "Britney/Brittany", so at the Comic-Con thing, Murphy probably said something like "... and one of the songs will be performed by Brittany". Meaning Brittany as in the character and not Ms Spears :( Ah well. Still mega excited! EDIT: I was (unfortunately :() right... Info about the show: - Season 2 will begin shooting Wednesday, July 28. - About the Britney Spears tribute episode: "All I can say about that is that we're doing six Britney songs, and then Brittany (Heather Morris) is doing a Britney song ... It's not airing until September. We're paying tribute to her in a sort of fun and unexpected way." - Where the show picks up: We'll find out what they did over the summer, but back at high school, the Gleeks are even bigger rejects this time around since they finished in third place. The theme of the second season is "do you have what it takes to win" and if they can climb up from their embarrassment. - There will be a religion-themed episode that will feature "Losing My Religion" and "Papa Can You Hear Me" from "Yentl." - The episodes won't necessarily be bloated with eight songs like they were at the end of Season 1. Six is probably avearge, and there's one that only has four songs.

August 3, 201014 yr Apparently she will probably be in the episode as well! Ryan Murphy to meet with Britney I don't know if this is AP but Ryan Murphy (Glee Creator) says in this video http://www.accesshollywood.com/ryan-..._video_1242085 that he is gonna meet with Britney this week and discuss with her about appearing in the show. Apparantly her and her team want it to happen.
