Apparently the Jenny Silver song is by Thomas G:Son and is an Abba-esque number. So be prepared for something completely different to A Place To Stay.

Also, for those who weren't aware, "The Moniker" is Daniel Karlsson who came 4th in Idol 2007.

I think Le Kid are my big draw there (along with Sanna of course!) seeing as they've given me one of my favourite songs of 2010! Even so, the participant list is hardly amazing so far overall...compared to past years at least. Danny and Elisabeth are really the biggest stars announced so far and they're hardly that big.

Still, it's all about the songs and not the artists, so I'm sure it will be as amazing as ever :D

Linda Bengtzing is still my big draw

I was worried that she might be in the 4th heat, but then it occurred to me, MAYBE the song is good enough to merit a place there and in fact she's this year's chosen one!!!!

I'm starting to think that Le Kid will make it to Andra Chansen at best. They're just not your typical MelFest act, and they're not exactly massive in Sweden either :(

Also bearing in mind that Danny is already a shoe-in for one of the DTG places.

I don't actually WANT them to win, as I don't think Eurovision is the best route for them as I think they have a genuine shot at UK success (unless they're signed to AATW). That said I would love them to make the final and I'd be quite upset if they didn't!!

Sounds like it could be even better than A Place To Stay :o

They are  Mercy Mercy is on Clubland 18! All they'll be used for is compilation filler, they'll never get a proper push here by AATW :(

I agree with you though, they're not big in Sweden and unless the song's incredible, I can't see it going DTG.

Le Kid! Linda! Jenny! *orgasms*
It does :) The other two semi's contestants will be announced tomorrow too :D

I spent this morning LOL'ing myself silly over what's occurring with Love Generation (you may have heard of them - five-piece girl group made up by RedOne in June this year, recorded self-titled lead single, went top ten in Sweden, promptly disappeared off the face of the pop planet before unleashing a second single proper), until Peter pointed out to me that the recent developments may actually point to them being potential Melodifestivalen entrants!

BASICALLY, yesterday a tweet said they were really excited for today, and about seven hours ago one of the girls, Roshana, posted something on the website saying she was leaving Love Generation for 'creative reasons' or somesuch, before another of the girls tweeted 'Morning!!! Hardly any sleep but who cares when you can run on happiness? <3 Love Generation!'. I was busy LAUGHING myself to death at the massive bitch vibes going down here on a level even the Sugababes didn't sink to (especially given that in the last seven hours, the most WONDERFUL hatchet job went down to try and erase Roshana's existence entirely from Love Generation - airbrushing, deletion of her name from all promotion without getting rid of commas and stuff, you name it, they did it), until Peter pointed out the Melodifestivalen link - which would explain why the second single never dropped fully (other than a live incomplete perf in August), and would make the Roshana thing make a LOT more sense - even if it places me firmly in Team anti-Roshana. But yeah, given Good Times sounded like it was going to be an absolute tune, I'm quite excited for later if this is the case :o

I wouldn't get too excited...I can't see Good Times being the tune they enter with :(

Neither can I, but given they're basically a RedOne vessel it's pretty likely whatever they enter is going to be at LEAST an 8.5/10 moment.

Also, I can't see RedOne having anything to do with the entry...it'd be a big deal if he was, but for some reason I can't see him having anything to do with MF! We'll know in just over an hour I guess!
Well, he formed Love Generation and so far as I know the group was intended to be a vanity piece for him...so maybe Love Generation are the chosen BIG NAMES (well, RedOne ) for this year? :drama:
Due to Aftonbladet Eric Saade will perform at MF with Kempe's song "Popular" and very expensive show, other top-canidates are Linda Pritchard, Anders Fernette, Sebastian Karlsson, Love Generation, Sara Varga with the song "Spring för livet", Shirleys änglar (Shirley+possibly Jessica Marberger and someone else).

Timoteij, Lili & Susie and Malena Laszlo were rejected.

ERIC, LOVE GENERATION + SHIRLEY CLAMP :w00t: Timoteij :nocheer:

Oh at Timoteij :( Still, it would have been hard to live up to Kom, and I'm guessing the song must have been quite far inferior seeing as they deemed Alcazar's Headlines worthy of a place last year a year after the life-altering Stay The Night.

Looking forward to Eric, Love Generation and Sebastian Karlsson :D
