November 29, 201014 yr We've also got Linda Sundblad :o I hope it's more 2 All My Girls or Let's Dance than, well, the sort of long growers that she normally throws out :nocheer:
November 29, 201014 yr LOVE GENERATION CONFIRMED WITH REDONE (I think), MOTHERFUCKING SQUEE. Without hearing the song, I'm just going to go ahead and say Love Generation must win Melodifestivalen next year. And then Eurovision.

Well, this  VlVrIQjgqP8
November 29, 201014 yr 'Mon now, it's not worth a change in thread title!! Let's not go all Sugababes-forum-on-the-day-of-Keisha's-sacking. Well it's the opposite really but the same thing.

It's mainly because having people know RedOne's involved will actually draw in the punters when it comes to Buzzjack :( There are LOADS of other acts I'm excited for, but we all know just one name's going to draw in the casual observers on this forum!
November 29, 201014 yr In my experience, casual observers in a Eurovision forum is never ever a good thing.
November 29, 201014 yr In my experience, casual observers in a Eurovision forum is never ever a good thing. Well, it seems to have served us well in the Switzerland thread! It's only when we get to the actual final and the near-annual accusations of political voting and 'everybody hates us' that it becomes a bad thing. Even then, casual and uneducated observers tend to be inevitable by that point... Plus, I don't consider it a bad thing to introduce more people to Melodifestivalen! A 'come for the Gaga-alike, stick around for the schlager' gambit, if you will :heehee:

If they're only being drawn in because of a second rate girl group singing a song that every other artist RedOne writes and produces for has no doubt turned down then quite frankly they don't deserve to discover the treasures that Melodifestivalen has on offer -_-
November 29, 201014 yr In fact, according to @scandipop on Twitter, they may have been drafted in to perform a dance song that was selected but had no performer, so RedOne might actually not have anything to do with this...

Really? His name was stated about three times, and somebody must have been doing the translations to get all the other songwriting credits...
November 29, 201014 yr I was sceptical about RedOne's involvement, seeing as there isn't even a song title yet, but if you look in the ESC Today he made some statement for the press conference.
November 29, 201014 yr Oh my LORD, apparently Anders Fernette has been disqualified because the JC Chasez demo was already available! http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/16281 Amazing.
November 29, 201014 yr Author Oh my LORD, apparently Anders Fernette has been disqualified because the JC Chasez demo was already available! http://www.esctoday.com/news/read/16281 Amazing. I hope we get a good replacement, like Timoteij :w00t: Great lineup, amazing that RedOne is on board for MF :o It's a long long road to the MF final though, let alone ESC! Shirley's Angels sounds like it could be amazing!
November 29, 201014 yr Ooooh Red One? Exciting. This Love Generation is defo up to the levels of Sugababes switch overs. Removing all traces from the official site, randomly creating a new forum, sacking the old mods... This isn't quite as good as Keishagate but i'll give them 9/10 for trying.
November 29, 201014 yr This is all very exciting, but what a shame Timoteij and Lili & Susie were rejected - hope their songs surface at some point. Loads of great acts this year, but I'm not sure any of them will be able to stop Eric Saade.

Loads of great acts this year, but I'm not sure any of them will be able to stop Eric Saade. I think the same was said about Darin and Peter Joback last year but neither managed to triumph. The most popular song was generally tend to win through over popular artists it would seem, I still can't believe Agnes did as badly as 8th in MF in 2009, considering she was probably the biggest name in the final!

This is true. Although that Peter Joback song was dire - too many key changes :kink: . Providing his song is good, I think Eric will win it.
November 29, 201014 yr Author This is true. Although that Peter Joback song was dire - too many key changes :kink: . Providing his song is good, I think Eric will win it. It was almost a parody song wasn't it  I couldn't actually believe that the key kept going up and up. Very strange song. Eric would go down a storm at ESC juding by the reaction on my Facebook feed when he popped up to read out the votes for Sweden this year!

Eric would go down a storm at ESC juding by the reaction on my Facebook feed when he popped up to read out the votes for Sweden this year! It was really bizarre! He'd be a massive fan favourite, but being a fan favourite rarely translates into a high score at Eurovision  . That said, he would very likely sing something contempory (unlike most of the previous fan favourites) which would pick up votes from casual viewers.
