I am 100% switching from Young Blood, the landslide Unknown Pleasures winner, as taking that into account, it feels very uninspired hence un-Rontvian and probably half of you know it already now...

 

I will announce my switch before 9pm for the last contest, or certainly in this format by the looks of it :o

 

I'd have no problem taking part in future less pressured sort of contests - not spin offs as such but a different sort of thing altogether, maybe something like unknown pleasures or themed contests. I almost can't imagine what life will be like again without listening to every new song I hear and thinking 'should I send this BJSC' :drama:

Hate to be a lone voice of descent, but I'm not mad keen on this. I nearly pulled out about half an hour ago, because to all intents and purposes BJSC *IS* my source of new music. It's partly by choice, but I don't tend to listen to all the new releases, because I know they'll wind up in BJSC eventually. But all these joke songs... I kind of feel like BJSC is going down in flames. Tbh maybe I should change to Cher - Just Like Jessie James? :kink:

I'd be up for a BJSC Unknown Pleasures. I think half of the pressure of BJSC is trying to keep up a reputation, particularly when you're expected to finish in the top 5 every month :drama:

 

And the discovering new music element would be there still, which ultimately has always been the point of the contest, for me at least. However if it was once every 4-6 weeks still I'd give it a miss, maybe once every 2-3 months.

LOL. I was imagining there'd be a divide eventually between UIP and UPP, not before the plan had been floated properly though :lol:
