Swedish superstar Darin is back with another gem! Clearly fed up with his #1 male artist in Sweden status being lost first to Måns Zelmerlöw and then Eric Saade, he's here to take his crown back hoping for his 4th #1 single there. The moody pace in the verses and sweeping dramatic strings in the intro almost make it sound like a Scandi-pop take on a Bond theme. It's pretty fantastic anyway and surely the best thing he's done in years, at least since Breathing Your Love. It does bizarrely remind me of Cyndi Lauper's True Colors in parts of the melody though :lol:

 

It's brilliant. If only he'd get a proper backing here in the UK. 'Breathing Your Love' would have been HUGE and this would have been a pretty great follow-up.

Agreed. He's a very patchy artist for me. His MF entry I liked but it wasn't his finest hour and his cover of Viva La Vida was ok if a bit generic, but when he's good, he's really good. I'd much rather listen to Darin on top form than anything on Eric Saade's album, but that's probably an unfair comparison seeing as the latter's only had one album out so far :lol:

 

Måns is best for consistency though and my favourite of all of them, with Ola probably tied with Darin in second - Natalie, Love In Stereo, Feel Good, Unstoppable etc are all :wub: Danny I really only care for as part of E.M.D., his solo stuff doesn't interest me much at all. I wish there were more great pop males about in the UK. There are plenty doing urban music like Taio/Tinchy/Tinie/Prof Green etc...but not really any decent out and out male pop singers.

I absolutely loved 'Flashback' though the single choices in Sweden for it were terrible, 'Dance' and 'Roadtrip' were the obvious big hits and i agree 'Breathing Your Love' could of been huge here, at least hes found success again in Sweden though this year.

Absouletly loving this. Thought it was fairly ordinary on first listen but grown on me quite a bit since :wub: Given time, it might even better Breathng Your Love.

Started off slowly but the chorus is simply orgasmic.
