The Naked & Famous a bit overrated imo, it was good but not the best. As much as I was debating their 'unknown' status, I prefer the HEALTH track myself.

and i think HEALTH are clearly more unknown than the naked and famous? the naked and famous went like #1 in NZ and are all over BJ and being sent to BJSC? and their video has way more viewzzz than HEALTHs i dunno

And The Naked and Famous get 12 more points! HEALTH's position in the top 3 is looking increasingly threatened, after picking up 55 points from the first 6 votes it's received just 9 points from the last 7 votes and drops to third! Who Knew get a 4th set of points, but it still only has 6 overall. Kurran and the Wolfnotes' 15 doubles its points tally.

HEALTH aren't THAT well known are they? I only knew them from featuring with Crystal Castles tbh...

 

That Klaus Naomi track was truly bizarre.

A 40 point lead at the top now means that David Holmes in second place is nearer to Kurran and the Wolfnotes in 13th. It's surely going to take something out of the ordinary to stop The Naked and Famous now? 12 points for High Places moves it into the top 20.

You may be right. I'd never heard of TNAF before, possibly because I avoid BJSC like the plague.

 

I do tend to be off with these things, ChC being such an indie biased board probably exaggerated HEALTH's popularity maybes.

I don't think anyone entered was particularly well known. I'd only heard 'USA Boys' and 'Roscoe' before the contest. I think it was a great, varied selection overall.

So it WAS HEALTH that Ben sent. With only 3 points given to songs in the top 6 previous to the top it has almost zero effect towards the top. The first person not to vote for The Naked and Famous. A sign of things to come perhaps? Another 10 points for High Places means it's comfortable in the top 20 now and Kurran and the Wolfnotes are top 10 for the first time.

 

Sad that Gauntlet Hair are falling away a bit now. I was also wrong about Medicated Soap sending in Diamond Rings - was a good track tho.

 

Still hoping that Holmes or HEALTH will win this! :wub:

I'm slightly regretting putting TNAF second now - HEALTH (or even David Holmes!) would both be far better winners.

Top 2 are way over rated though. I just listened to my Top 10 again and I think I'd put Pallers and Midlake Top 2 over Miriam.
