Yay!! Although I do feel kinda bad now because the whole indie crowd will castrate me for entering this 'M83 rip off' of a song, but I'm glad a lot of people discovered and enjoyed it, which was the main aim really.

Would have preferred David Holmes, Gauntlet Hair or HEALTH to win personally tho. : (

To be fair all but two people gave it points. It's completely deserving and I dont think anyone can really complain...

I had a late surge, in the end it was me with Diamond Rings :D

Thanks for all the votes., they came thick and fast in the end.

Ah... so Cod submitted Pallers then?

Good choice sir!

:D

Cremey's votes:

01 - Lay Low

03 - Slagsmålsklubben

04 - BSBTRGDCLUB

05 - Gauntlet Hair

06 - A Place To Bury Strangers

It does reach 200 points, an excellent achievement considering only three songs have got 100 points. HEALTH move back up into 2nd and 15 points for Diamond Rings pushes Cremey's own song out of the top 5, twice in two votes! 8 songs vying for 3 top 10 places with one vote remaining.

Out of interest, will there be any mentions about why we had to reserve a song?

Oh I did that incase anyone revealed what their own song was and was therefore disqualified!

04 - Veto

Full marks to HEALTH mean they're quite comfortable 2nd in the end with David securing 3rd. 10 points for A Place To Bury Strangers moves them up 5 places right at the end and into 8th knocking Chequerboard out of the top 10. 5 points for Klaus Nomi puts it up to 23rd.

Makes me sending Young Blood to BJSC look pretty uninspired after the runaway win here but I promise I didn't discover it here, rather on iTunes NZ a few weeks back  Fantastic song though, and deserved winner of this, even if I didn't submit a song or vote...

Aww, I'm sorry about that - I noticed Jake post a topic about it right after I sent it in and then immediately regretted sending it. Feel free to throw stones at me.

Oh, I thought there was only one song left to reveal!

Trust Hitstastic to have that Britney track

FINAL SCOREBOARD

Added the point to David/Taken it from Globus. Split any ties by number of 15s first, then number 12s.

Excellent competition. I did far better than I expected. Well done Doctor Blind. Thanks to anyone who voted for my track. I discovered some gems. :)

Seriously... stop apologising!

It won fair and square and by a landslide so it surely must be a popular result overall, no?

Thank you to Mark for organising this and to everyone who took part !

I've certainly discovered a few new bands to investigate now, I may have to purchase the HEALTH album in town next week. :o

Well done Doctor Blind, so close to getting top 3 in the end.

 As Dandy pointed out, I included it on a ChC CD Swap two years ago and Notos Hampson received and rated each track. He gave 'Britney' 9/10 so I assumed it'd appeal to the electro indie fans here. Obviously it was a mega fail.

Next time I'll send something that will hopefully be considered a bit more pleasureable. :P
