Have to admit I wasn't sure of this song myself but that was down to me not really being a fan of Paramore - I'm 12 years late for all that (they're my 16 year old neice's fave group right now). Could be worse though - she could be a fan of Westlife. :P

Now this was just a slow burner. I liked it on first listen - the whole "un, dois, trois" standing out the most. Over time I've liked it more and more and the quirky video adds to the feel of the track.

Yes!!! :lol: I don't particularly mind the track but it's not exactly the best song around at the moment. It certainly doesn't deserve to be amongst the top 5 best selling singles of the week. Looks like you've got used to how I compile my chart then. :P 'JBGTG' most likely will drop out next week.

I noticed on the iTunes update on Buzzjack's menu page that Yolanda Be Cool was no. 1 which was really pleasing to see. The success of this track proves that the UK music buying public will buy a song that's not in English if the song is good. :D Quirky and funny video helps sell this song too. Imo it'd be an excellent UK no. 1 hit - is left to be seen if 'WNSA' gets there next Sunday.

 

05 (--) Mark Ronson & The Business Intl. - Bang Bang Bang (05) [1 wk] Excellent track, his 4th top ten hit in my chart as far as I can recall. Stop Me, Oh My God and All I Need To Get By went top ten and Valerie only went to #11 rather shamefully.

 

'Stop Me' and 'Valerie' both topped my personal chart in 2007. In fact I bought 'Version' and overall it's a brilliant album to say it consists of just covers. If only The X Factor could take note. :kink:

I've liked this loads for ages - it seemed to be wasting away on my pre-release chart so that's why I charted it 4 weeks ago. I can still see this sticking around for a bit despite its one place slip downwards this week.

 

16 (--) M.I.A. - XXXO (16) [1 wk] Decent but I doubt she'll better Paper Planes

 

I think most people would agree with this. I even prefer 'Jimmy' to this. 'Paper Planes' got to no. 3 and 'Jimmy' got to no. 7 in my chart.

 

39 (--) Professor Green feat. Lily Allen - Just Be Good To Green (39) [1 wk] This is dire :( Lily's part is ok but generic but he's just awful

 

Lily saves this song from being completely urgh!!! :lol: That's why it just scrapped into my top 40. Then again, 'I Need You Tonight' did better peaking at #20 purely because I thought that song was both wrong and hilarious. It also reminded me of the genius that is INXS 'Need You Tonight' which I found myself listening to all over again.
