Oh that's an interesting thread and I have a question that always bothered me:

We have a member called 6weeksatnumber7. He had also the chart run in his sig (without artist or song title though), but can't find it anymore, he hasn't posted for a while.

Can anyone remember which song spent 6 weeks at number 7?

Altogether, or consecutive?

I thought it could be LeAnn Rimes but "How Do I Live" only managed two weeks at #7...

Still, weird chart run:

7-9-12-17-12-9-9-7-11-12-12-11-9-10-11-15-17-20-27-24-29-30-22-28-32-27-35-32-32-36-41-51-66-72

It's was a decade ahead of its time with a run like that

There's many I could go for but Fly On The Wings Of Love was pretty cool...

9-{8}-12-9-8-9-11-10-8-10-12-16-22-22-30-41-55-66-72->19

Also as much as I hate the song Sweet About Me by Gabriella Cilmi

I didn't know that she had such a great chart run. Where did she end in the YTD?

and I suppose an all-time classic would be Frankie Goes To Hollywood "Relax" (1984/1985)

#2 in its 34th week is pretty astounding!

Not to mention Boney M - Rivers Of Babylon / Brown Girl In The Ring (unfortunately I don't have the exact chart run to hand).

Love those chart runs!

I remember Dancing in the Moonlight was a true oddity at the time.

Eminem - The Real Slim Shady - 1-2-3-4-5-7-8-10-11-15-23-33-38-54-70-72R(174)->16

I remember Wet Wet Wet's fall from number 1 with Love is All Around included the geometric progression 1-2-4-8-16

One of my Top 10 singles of all time

DJ Shadow - Stem - 74

:P

I like Avril Lavigne's 'Girlfriend' chart-run-wise:

73 - 3 - 2 - 2 - 3 - 4 - 3 - 5 - 9...

Very strange how it didn't get to #1 since it "debuted" at #3 two weeks before physical release in 2007.

Shakira's top 40 run for Hips Don't Lie was great!

3-2-{1}-2-2-3-1-1-1-1-2-2-5-7-6-10-13-13-17-21-28-31-30-28-28-37-OUT-33-31

Who the hell has a week at #1, only to return for a full month more later on!?!

If only there was 6th and 9th places - it'd have been like the best chart run ever. :(
