So, with all the results now in and confirmed, time to STIR THE SPECULATION.

 

I can reveal that the space between 1st and 3rd is A MERE TWO POINTS.

 

What record has been broken? Have the top three all made it past the magic 297 which currently holds the points record? Have one of Letland, Ashton, FSR Rontvia, Botanikka or the Land of Jack muscled their way to the top to give us our first foreign language winner? Do we have the longest gap between first entry and winning contest ever? Do we have our first ever tie for first place? PERHAPS ALL OF THE ABOVE HAS OCCURRED?

 

Or maybe I'm just being dull and setting up a big record when the only shock is the smallest gap between the top three? :kink: Who knows? Either way, I can promise the most exciting set of results EVER tomorrow night starting at 7pm BST, so be there or be David :o

 

Wow, somebody else has muscled their way through the Darin/Sky hype :o I can't imagine the points record has been smashed by three songs with far less voters here, so I'd imagine the record will be either just the smallest gap, or indeed the longest wait for a win/first foreign winner, which I guess would be for Ashton or at a push Letland as frankly me, Botanikka and Land of Jack have quite literally no chance of winning :lol:

I wouldn't dismiss those other three quite so quickly!

They all sort of strike me as acquired tastes...whereas Ashton and to a lesser extent Letland seem pretty acessible to all. You have to like schlager to like mine, you have to be able to appreciate the accents/style of Botanikka's entry and the Land of Jack entry is quite 'worldy' and might not be got by all. I loved it like a month and a half ago when the world cup was in full swing :lol:
