Does anybody watch this? I'm just getting towards the end of Season 1 after finally checking it out. It's a lot more accessible than Abrams' Lost, but I'm still having a lot of trouble getting into it. I think it's all the science related stuff  It's a smidge hard to swallow at times but it's like a new version of The X Files which interests me muchly.

Walter Bishop is just brilliant though. He never fails to get a laugh out of me.

Any other fans?

Yep, great show. Was worried that it wasnt gonna get a third series, but am now very much looking forward too it.
i love it, have seen both series. it's nothing on Lost though.
I love it great series, Leonard Nimoy is no longer with the show though, he has gave up his acting career after last year's stint on the show,

well he clearly wasnt gonna return considering his outcome in the season 2 finale anyway.

Apparently Fox are quite pleased with the performance of this show. It airs after Bones  and the pair of them are holding their own on thursday nights.
I really like the first two series of this, some interesting ideas coming through.. But I am concerned that it's gonna turn out like Lost - Three or four great seasons, marvellous build up of momentum, then it goes downhill and has the most p*ssy-out, damp-squib of an ending ever..... -_-
Abrams does that a lot then? Alias had a $h!tty $h!tty $h!tty last season after 4 really good ones.

Alias season 5 was alright, but yeah, the first four again had that great build up and then the actual finale fell somewhat flat.... Not quite as spectacularly cack as the ending of Lost though......

It was perhaps two too many $h!tties but, the hole Vaughn being dead/not being dead/being someone else was tedious. Although i did like the ending where they had retired together with their kids  But i'm a hopeless shipper at heart.

Can't wait for the new season, however I don't like the idea for each episode (the first ones) to show the story of either our episode or the alternative one. I would prefer it to be mixed up.

Interesting first episode all centred in the alternative world, I've read the first batch of the 13 episodes are going to be set in the alternate universe, basically I'm loving the concept, it sets up more interesting arc on the series.

no, every other episode is in the alternative world.

i'm watching US pace, so seen the second episode already. Found it quite interesting seeing how alt-oliva is coping in our universe.

The ratings aren't that brilliant for the new season so far, but i reckon it'll see a 4th season. It does alright in one of the most competitive time slots in the US [CSI and Grays] and it has been noted that the Bones/Fringe combo is bar far the strongest Fox have ever fielded on a Thurs

Fox has basically cancelled the show :(

It's been moved to Friday's at 9pm for the midseason after American Idol takes Bones' time slot and Bones is pushed back to battle CSI directly at 9pm and get a lead-in for the first time.

IF Fringe can maintain it's current ratings on the Friday, it'll most likely be saved and get a 4th season. If it loses viewers it's probably going to be cancelled.

NO :snif: its one of the best shows on TV at the moment, its sort of filled the hole for me since Lost and 24 have finished.
There is a glimmer of hope, it just needs to keep it's ratings constant at the same level it did for Thursday at 9 and it'll be safe
I know its losing ratings at the moment, as the series has gone into the parallel universe for half of its episodic run that's probably why its not faring that well at the moment, but I find the series is very well done. I just hope they wrap the series not leave it hanging if Fox decide to cancel it.

It was a bubble show last year that many predicted wouldn't be renewed, but they did. Partially as it was performing alright in a tough time slot and it wasn't losing too much of it's lead in. This year however, Bones has lost somewhere between 0.2 and 0.5 off it's rating's figure with Big bang Theory hoovering up the 18-49's and this has very badly affected Fringe whose ratings have dipped bellow 2.0 this year. On the big 4 networks, if you fall bellow 2.0 it's time to prepare for cancellation unless you are on a Friday night.

Friday night shows get diabolical ratings normally, so if Fringe can hold onto a 1.7-2.0 it might just be saved.

this season has been the best yet imo.
