Earlier in the season, I wondered whether Fox had given up getting better ratings than the below average numbers for Lie To Me and Fringe. The moves in their mid-season schedule indicate they haven’t, and for that reason (although their ratings have always put them there) I now consider Lie To Me, Fringe and Human Target to be “more likely to be cancelled than renewed”.

:( looks like it's going to be cancelled.

This season of Fringe has been incredible. It's gone from being something that's ok to watch every now and again to compulsive viewing. It would be such a shame if it was cancelled. I really want them to finish this battle of two universes in a way it deserves.
I LOVE this show, very different and interesting
Its always been great, but everything on the main story arc is finally coming together, please dont let it end prematurly.
IF it can hold onto it's current ratings even with a move to Fridays, or increase it's ratings it might just be saved

While posting the Friday night ratings, I knew that some Fringe fans might be buoyed by Human Target ratings. If Human Target could retain 71%-76% of its last original on Wednesday with a last minute schedule change to Friday, might Fringe fair better since Fox has had lots of time to promote the Friday move? It’s not a ridiculous to wonder, ater all, FOX entertainment chief Kevin Reilly is now saying he’ll be happy if Fringe retains 80% of its Thursday ratings. But I wouldn’t read too much into what happened last night.

If you believe Reilly, retaining 80% of Fringe’s Thursday ratings means about a 1.5 live+SD adults 18-49 rating. It won’t surprise me if Fringe can do that or maybe even a little better in its premiere next week. Fringe has a couple of things in its favor next week, namely that both CSI: NY on CBS and Supernatural on the CW are repeats (last night Supernatural was a repeat, but CSI: NY was new). The following Friday (1/28) CBS is in repeats, but the CW lineup is all new.

I’ll be a lot more interested in how Fringe does on January 28 than in its premiere on January 21 when any hype around its premiere will be behind it, and it has to face a new Supernatural.

There is hope for Fringe yet

I think this trailer shows that Fox aren't planning on getting rid of Fringe yet:

I'm well looking forward for it to return, that trailer just makes me excited. Such a great show.

The massive amounts of Promo Fox are doing seemed to have paid of, for this week at least.

Last night Fringe scored a 1.9 rating with 4.8million viewers.

The number of viewers is consistent with what Fringe was getting post-Bones on Thursday, BUT, it's 1.9 is 0.2 up from it's last original episode.

One thing to keep in mind is that it aired against repeats of CSI:NY and Supernatural. BUT if it can keep that number around 1.7 and possibly beat CSI:NY and Supernatural to put it top of the night then it's highly likely to be renewed [but kept in it's Friday night slot] TVbythenumbers said that this was Fox's highest rated Friday night since September 5th 2008. From what i understand, Fox have been looking for a hit line up on a Friday night, so not dipping from it's Thursday numbers and staying top3 on the night should mean it's renewed.

The episode last night was a bit disappointing. Probably the weakest of series 3 so far.

This show is AWESOME! Season 3 has been nothing short of extraordinary. Anna Torv is seriously the best actress on television at the moment.

What do you guys think of the Alternate!Olivia pregnancy storyline? At first I was like weary about it, but I completely trust the writers. They've never let me down before!

IMMA START WATCHING DIS.

You should! It's so good. The first half of the first season is a little slow, but it gets so much better. The season 2 finale is my all time favorite episode. <3

Last week it got a 1.4, this week a 1.5.

The ratings are good enough for Fringe to be kept on air, but not quite good enough for a renewal. Slips any lower and it hits burn-off mode.

If it hits Dollhouse style ratings then Fox'll yank it from the schedule.

Worst finale ever. I was so disappointed, especially after the amazing season 2 finale and the high standard of episodes this season.
I've just seen the best epsiode of the entire series, the cartoon episode with the voice of Leonard Nimoy
