September 6, 201014 yr Chris, i don't know that's why i'm not sure if the date of the release will be on the 27th September, it would be on the radio etc by now. However like i said Higher is still in the top 65 on Itunes and if it hangs around in the top 200 i think it will outsell Ego and Up! But if i was them id wait until the xfactor and pray for a slot.
September 6, 201014 yr Author I don't believe the 27th September release date even if Digital Spy and 'Breakfast2' have said so on PJ. As far as we're aware, it's not on radios, no promo's have been sent out, no promo seems to be planned, video yet to premier, we haven't even heard the final new version... I dunno. I guess time will tell.

Simon is always pushing to get MASSIVE worldwide names (Mariah, Whitney, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Celine etc.) or other x factor related acts (Cheryl, Leona, JLS, Alex etc). The Sats are sadly neither of these!

Simon is always pushing to get MASSIVE worldwide names (Mariah, Whitney, George Michael, Paul McCartney, Celine etc.) or other x factor related acts (Cheryl, Leona, JLS, Alex etc). The Sats are sadly neither of these! It's a shame because for a show all about new tallent, all they seem to do is bring back old. It's all completely biased anyway. Like you said, the people who get to perform are either world-class artists, or previous xfactor contestants. The whole format seems to be getting a little tiresome.
September 7, 201014 yr Author Back in 2007 Girls Aloud where invited and they were not worldwide. Simon only probabbly did it because Cheryl was offered the job on BGT but she turned it down therefore Simon gave them a performance slot which would obviously make Call The Shots huge therefore Cheryl could'nt really say no to co-judge the talent show, especially after he got them a performance slot ;) Then cue Cheryl's Xfactor debut... Either that or they were extremely lucky. Wouldn't suprise me.
September 7, 201014 yr Up on Thursdaya nd missing you on last week, should have been 01. Up 02. Ego 03. Missing You 04. Higher :(
September 7, 201014 yr Back in 2007 Girls Aloud where invited and they were not worldwide. Neither are Take That or Westlife and they are X Factor regulars. They are still massive in the UK, as is (was?) Girls Aloud (even more so now that Cheryl is on the panel!)

They got invited because after 3 platinium albums, their GH sold 1.1 million and therefore they became one of the biggest names of the pop scene. It was making sense to invite them on the show, since they were more popular than ever before. Constantly slagging Cheryl off for getting the girls some unfair promotion on the X Factor isn't right. She got an opportunity and wasn't going to refuse it. She had to make the most of it for the group as well. What if one day Frankie gets on the X-Factor judges pannel and it helps the group to get a slot on the show, will you all boo them and slag her off for that? No, you will most probably be all happy that your favourite band can finally get some well deserved recognition, I think.

Also at the time of the X Factor performance of Call The Shots, the greatest hits was nowhere near a million.

September 8, 201014 yr I think the reason people were hoping for a Saturday appearance on the X-Factor were really due to the fact that Miley Cyrus had previously appeared, as had Pixie Lott on BGT. And there not being much difference in their popularity and The Sats.

They have been on the decline since Change....why would they be invited onto the biggest TV show in the UK when even a large majority of their fans have turned their backs on them?? I think the reason people were hoping for a Saturday appearance on the X-Factor were really due to the fact that Miley Cyrus had previously appeared, as had Pixie Lott on BGT. And there not being much difference in their popularity and The Sats. Well Miley Cyrus is a MUCH bigger name worldwide than the Saturdays.....she has sold millions of albums remember! Not quite sure about Pixie now...i think Simon must just like her, why else ask her to be a guest judge and have her perform on BGT?? Shes hardly massive in the UK (yes she has been successful, but hardly Lady GaGa or Beyonce style proportions!) Edited September 8, 201014 yr by Crowan
September 8, 201014 yr Pixie has had two 1's and her album has sold more than The Sats three albums combined. Plus she charted in more than just the UK and Ireland.
September 8, 201014 yr Back in 2007 Girls Aloud where invited and they were not worldwide. they also came from a reality TV show like X Factor, if i remember right they mentioned this alot as to why, Will Young also performed the same year for the same reason!

Miley Cyrus worldwide is massive and has sold 15million+ Sales worldwide. Albums also great sellers. Pixie Lott has sold over 600,000 albums more than The Sats albums combined. Her Single Mama Do has sold more than up and ego? Pixie Lott is also stunning and simon knows the british public love her. Pixie came from nowhere! She wasn't from a contest etc. Edited September 8, 201014 yr by lee wallace

Being realistic, It dosen't look good when they only invite UK grown artists to perform once they've reached a certain status (or Mr Cowell wants them on there - Pixie Lott). It's not fair. The show is all about new tallent and it's not sending a good message out if UK grown acts can't appear on the show untill they've reached a certain stage in their career - examples are of course Girls Aloud, Westlife etc. Looking at it now, Girls Aloud we're most likely picked to perform on there just because they're one of the prime examples of what winning a reality TV show can do for you.
