Itunes 22. The Saturdays Higher

Official Charts 26. The Saturdays Higher :)

Awesome. #26 in midweeks?

Considering it was about #28 for 24hrs on iTunes and to be #26 that's pretty good - means it's also being downloaded elsewhere too. And now that it's #22 on iTunes after some promo yesturday, should beat it's position of #25 last week hopefully :)

I think they will be on the xfactor i do now, Flo-rida aswell. All Xfactor people know if there on the xfactor or not, and i'm sure that's why the satudays moved Higher soooo far ahead!

#21 on iTunes now.

That's the only reason I can think of off the top of my head. Either that or their management are just plain stupid for leaving it that late and releasing it on a very busy week.

If they do do Xfactor though, what would their VT be? "8 Top 10 Singles" "Platinum debut album" "2M records sold" ... that's all I can think of :/

I think "X Factor" should be banned from this thread.

It's so depressing seeing you all get your hopes up and coming up with whack theories week-on-week.

Yes moderator

I can see it going back to 24th :) I hope it goes to 23 ! It's doing very well with minimal promotion. However which annoys me is that people like Ke$ha, B.O.B have no promotion just a music video yet they go all the way up to the top 10 on itunes, Higher's peak is 14 on itunes.

Completely agree.

My hopes are rested on that the Flo Rida version is downloaded loads on release week, because I dunno, it's not doing an Ego that's for sure at this moment, it's just stalling in the the Top 25.

On one hand you say "Wow it's great that the Sats are doing well with minimal (lol)promotion", and on the other hand you say "Boo I hate artists doing well without promotion"... Erm ...

I actually agree with you on that...

im saying the saturdays have still did promotion for higher and despite it getting great reviews it's struggiling to get higher. Yet artists like B.O.B/Ke$ha just get a music video and take off in the charts..

i think If The Saturdays were to try europe they would maybe do better in the uk, with their music getting played more and more around the country.

Not really no.

How would they do better in the UK if they're venturing off in other places? They'd flop. Besides they're UK/Irish grown so that would look daft "Yeah were a British group but we promoted in Europe and got better sales in UK" dosen't really make any sence what so ever does it..

they are very popular in my country :)

Looking forward to the remix video tomorrow :)

For example Waka, Waka did brilliant here because people went on holiday and came back and downloaded the song. The Saturdays aren't really doing as well as they should be. They have good selling single sales sure but Wordshaker was a shocking flop and come back on the company, i think they should experiment europe next year and put all the the best songs from the 3 albums into one. Not all around europe just i france maybe!

You're not even making any sense. Waka Waka peaked at #21. I wouldn't call that brilliant at all.

Can't really proove that since it was the Official World Cup 'anthem', so it was gonna be everywhere anyway. Besides considering it was the World Cup anthem it did pretty poorely in the UK (#21) comparing it to others like 'Shout' (#1) and 'Wavin Flag' (#3) which charted higher and sold much more.

The Saturdays are doing OK at the moment. They've made a positive turn-around in under a year from the Wordshaker 'flop' to Headlines being their strongest charting album to date, not leaving the Top 40 in over 2 months of release. They haven't really cemented themselves in the UK as it is, so venturing outside the UK could be risky.

Let them work hard on the next album and see where that takes them.
