I'm not the greatest fan of Gaga either but I'm content if she's number 1 because the rest of the Top 10 will be run of the mill female pop. I'd be happy with Madonna at number 1 but she isn't going to be.

...and not madonna who you bitchslapped?

Well at the very least Alanis beat Miley Cyrus. What was that ridiculous troll doing in the top 40 anyway, and WHY was Queen Alanis not top 10?

I really don't like these results :( Right now, a Pixie Lott victory would not surprise me.

Don't get me wrong, I love Diana! I think I voted her - but the competition is ON!

Madonna I gave up on years ago.. pile of $h!t but people seem to love her

I agree, Alanis deserves top 10. I Was Hoping these Percious Illusions would shatter and she could Thank U for Your Congratulations at coming top 10

I think its laughable when people like Kylie are called non-entities. I love Lady GaGa but she definetly doesnt deserve to win this. She is just the latest popular new thing.

Gaga doesn't deserve it either but when Kylie can write two songs as great as Bad Romance and Just Dance then I'll discuss the matter. Not that writing your own songs is all that matters but when you can do it well you should get credit.

Seriously Buzzjack? Little Miss Average is in the building. Average songs, average personality. I think she should enjoy her time in the spotlight whilst she can. I have nothing against her personally and her music is rather enjoyable but I don't see anybody still playing them in 5 years time and she's very undeserving of two #1 singles here in the UK! Lott's success began last summer when Mama Do & Boys & Girls topped the charts. Her debut album Turn It Up has sold steadily despite not reaching the UK top 5 and she proved she has a softer side which appeals to the Radio 2 audience with the slow and beautiful Cry Me Out

Just no comment. That way I won't cause uproar by using nasty language.

X Factor graduate who has recently enjoyed a #1 debut single and album despite only placing 4th in the 2008 series. The list of contributors to her record is interesting to say the least: Nerina Pallot, Ellie Goulding, Cass Lowe, Guy Sigsworth, Chris Braide, Savan Kotecha, Starsmith, Alexis Strum,Patrick Wolf and Lightspeed Champion all lent a hand to the raspy voiced singer. Seriously she sounds like she constantly has phlegm in her throat. I do miss those weird hand movements she did on the X Factor though :(

Janet is the youngest member of the Jackson family and possibly the second most successful as a solo artist after her deceased brother Michael. Her family roots and lack of vocal range have often been a source of criticism for the singer who has strived to carve a successful career for more than two decades. She's had some brilliant hits and is probably most known for 1997's Together Again. The SuperBowl fiasco is probably the only memorable thing people associate with her since the start of 2000 as despite several album releases she's failed to match up to the success of her early career. I still cite her as one of the more influential female artists out there.

Cheryl Cole/Tweedy whatever she goes by nowadays first came to public attention when she won Popstars The Rivals in 2002 as a member of Girls Aloud. The group went on to score 20 consecutive top 10 singles in the UK and reshaped the face of the girl band scene. Cheryl began to outshine her bandmates due to allegations of racial assault and her marriage to footballer Ashley Cole. Joining the X Factor judging panel in 2008 cemented her status as 'the nation's darling' and she is a regular feature on celebrity magazines. Her debut solo album 3 Words was released in 2009 and was rather poor tbh. That said I was addicted to Fight For This Love and a couple of others were listenable but nothing to get excited over. I have nothing against Cheryl, I just don't think she deserves all the attention and such she receives. She's currently recovering from malaria so get well soon huh?

While she is not the best in the world, i must admit to really liking Cheryl, especially after she appeared on X-Factor. She has a few good songs.

I'm actually SHOCKED but v. v. pleased that Cheryl is so high! I should've placed her first though, to account for all of Girls Aloud. :kink: I'm also quite happy that barely any of my top 20 have gone yet!

I may aswell say it now, before Gramii gets flooded at the end of the thread, but thanks for all your hard-work put into this and all the research that you've done. :) I know I haven't commented at all throughout this thread, but I have been reading it. :kink:

Now personally I thought I was going to be the only one who gave this Icelandic box of crazy, amazingness points, but loads of people crawled out the woodwork to support the more obscure artists like Bjorkie, Kate Bush etc. Before her solo career she was the lead singer of alternative band The Sugarcubes. Her eccentric nature and rather violent personality, bizarre dress sense and ability to chuck any genre she so wishes into the musical pool could give Gaga a run for her money anyday. Bjork may not be a massive success but she's definitely contributed to shaping the face of music and is one of the most diverse and outrageous female artists out there. I'd love to see what goes on in that head of hers :( I recommend the albums Post, Homogenic & Vespertine if you're thinking of getting into her music. My personal favourites are Hyperballad & Army Of Me ^_^

Well at least Bjork managed to get one higher than Cheryl,

WELL DONE BUZZJACK.
