Good for them. It'll teach them (Will.I.Am) that he can't get away with making crap and needs to get his butt in the studio making tunes like Meet Me Halfway and Boom Boom Pow.

This. :D

I wouldn't be surprised if the album goes Top 10 in the UK next week due to their X Factor performance.

It should climb next week but i can see the album been a growe and with future singles the album will sell steadily,
The Dirty Bit is amazing. But the 'Time Of My Life' part makes me want to beat my radio into a wall.
Album is #8 in the midweeks which is great and although it had a dispointing debut last week it still managed to see over 34,000 which on most weeks of the year would have got top 5 and some weeks would have made number 1. The album will be a slow burner and i think eventually will rack up quite decent sales although probably not to the same level as the e.n.d managed.

I really can't imagine it recovering properly and selling anywhere close to their usual. One lucky X-Factor performance has boosted the album and single this week, and there aren't any real standout potential hit singles according to pretty much anyone on this, so I can't imagine future singles really helping it out for longevity.

I think it'll be an era they'll be willing to forget when all is said and done.

#9 in the uk which im happy with, at worst it has a single digit peak now and i hope they will have managed at lesat 50,000 sales this week.

ha yeah same here! if they'd just made up their own less cheesy lyrics i think people would like it a lot more. the beat in the chorus is imense though

the whole album is growing on me a lot too. light up te night especially

Whenever for the next single. They need a new single quick and fast. The Time is quite frankly getting old but the Dirty Bit is still makes like it.

Its still selling well as a single and the album is starting to sell now, i think when this weeks sales the album will be quite near 200,000 which isnt bad for 3 weeks, it will never sell as much as the e.n.d but im hoping it can manage 600,000+

In Ireland though things arent moving as fast the album chart run to date including this weeks position is 20>>>20?>>>>21

No news on what will be the second single?

Someday or Light Up The Night would be great.

^ I also think Someday is extremely good (the track from the album I listen to most, apart from the single), but perhaps they need something more catchy, if you know what I mean. I dunno, but I think the reason Rock That Body underperformed was because it wasn't catchy enough. I think it's an incredible composition of music, but it's not the sort of tune that people can hear once on the radio, and want to listen to it repeatedly. They need to have another tune with another absolutely phenomenal hook like Meet Me Halfway did, or a song with an incredible beat like Boom Boom Pow to be in with a chance of another hit.

I'm struggling to think of anything en par with that from their album, but they could do the "remix an album track and release it as a single" trick, although that's usually something artists start doing on their 4th or 5th single from an album, not their 2nd.

It does make you wonder though, why did songs like OMG end up on Usher's album, or Check It Out end up on Nicki Minaj's album, or 3 Words on Cheryl's album?

'Rock That Body's peak may have looked disappointing after 3 back to back #1s but it did alright for a fourth single from an album that sold so many. 'Meet Me Halfway' wouldn't have reached #1 without that X-Factor performance anyway.
#9 in the uk the uk this week with sales noy much short of 100k, the album isnt all that far away from platnum sttus so its holding up quite well and its only from 1 single yet, there should be 3 more singles at the leas which will push sales.

I got this from HMV today, and i absolutely LOVE it! Yeah, its no way near as amazing as The E.N.D, but i really love it now. :D

The Time, Light Up The Night, XOXOXO and Do It Like This

Just Can't Get Enough
