August 4, 201016 yr THRILLING week. The Katyloons (i.e. 99% of the people that will comment in this thread) will throw a party over Katy getting playlisted, so I shan't bother :heehee: Surprised they took so long to add Usher too! I suppose the inevitable 'where is Stromae' comment can be left for another week or two seeing as the official release date has moved back. Great to see Roll Deep a-list
August 4, 201016 yr C-List * Katy Perry - Teenage Dream  :yahoo:  :w00t:  Pissed off that Shontelle and Alexandra have been snubbed.
August 4, 201016 yr Author I think the new Alex track sucks, I can see why it got snubbed. Shontelle definitely deserves to be playlisted, but Radio 1 aren't really a fan of ballads...
August 4, 201016 yr I think the new Alex track sucks, I can see why it got snubbed. Shontelle definitely deserves to be playlisted, but Radio 1 aren't really a fan of ballads... Which is fair enough as ballads are practically all commercial radio play, save for I Gotta Feeling. I rarely hear the same tracks on Radio 1 and Heart, ever  Shontelle's getting plenty of play there and tons of video play so she'll be fine.
August 4, 201016 yr Author Not like Heart FM is a big hit maker :P She'll be lucky to have a hit without Radio 1, but at least Kiss and Galaxy seem to be playing her, so I expect at least a semi-hit.
August 4, 201016 yr KANYE :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: Thought R1 would snub 'Power' (his best song in AAAGES) because of the Taylor Swift incident. Katy Perry playlisted too :D And Chase & Status A-List :w00t:
August 4, 201016 yr Yet more rubbish that will chart poorly and the middle aged DJ's think is cool.Kele, Funeral Party and Band of Horses will just join everything on the Upfront list and sink without trace.Commercial radio are supporting Start Without You so Alex does not need to be playlisted, she needs to get a move on with her video though. http://comparemyradio.com/tracks
August 4, 201016 yr Pretty predictable and boring additions as per most weeks, the new Katy Perry song is great though. I'm amazed they're still snubbing Alexandra even though I think the song is awful, I guess they really do have something against her afterall.

I meant she's getting a lot of play on commercial radio in general, I just worded my sentence wrongly

You can stop reminding us every week. Your complaints aren't gonna change anything.

I'm just against the same artists getting A-listed repeatedly even though they're going nowhere (like All Time Low), or re-releases making the A-list for the 2nd time...

August 4, 201016 yr Here's the current Heart Burke FM playlist by the way just in case anyone's interested for comparison's sake, seeing as after Radio 1 it's probably the biggest station in terms of reaching audiences across the entire country; Alan Pownall - Colourful Alexandra Burke - Start Without You Alexandra Burke - All Night Long Alexandra Burke - Bad Boys Alexandra Burke - Broken Heels Alicia Keys - Doesn't Mean Anything Alicia Keys - Empire State of Mind Alicia Keys - Try Sleeping With A Broken Heart Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling Black Eyed Peas - Meet Me Halfway Drake - Find Your Love Enrique Iglesias - I Like It Fyfe Dangerfield - She's Always A Woman To Me Jason Derulo - What If Jay Sean - Down JLS - Everybody in Love JLS - The Club is Alive Journey - Don't Stop Believin' Katy Perry - California Girls Keri Hilson - I Like Kings Of Leon - Sex on Fire Kylie Minogue - All The Lovers Lady Gaga - Alejandro Lady Gaga - Bad Romance Lady Gaga featuring Beyonce - Telephone Michael Bublé - Crazy Love Michael Bublé - Haven't Met You Yet Olly Murs - Please Don't Let Me Go Owl City - Fireflies Plan B - She Said Rihanna - Russian Roulette Rihanna - Te Amo Robbie Williams - You Know Me Taio Cruz - Break Your Heart The Saturdays - Missing You The Wanted - All Time Low Westlife - What About Now Loads of ballads and ancient songs and just ONE song on here that Radio 1 are playing currently, and that's The Saturdays...What If is also the first song of Jason's that they've playlisted, obviously because it's more MOR than the other three and Heart friendly. It's like a who's who of 2009 or older, fresh!
August 4, 201016 yr Author Yeah stale as hell, bar a couple of tracks. Most national radios in Portugal are like that too, that's why I choose to listen to web radio these days. I completely dispise I Gotta Feeling these days, talk about overrated to the extreme
August 4, 201016 yr I do really like Heart/Burke FM especially for the soul and RnB seventies and eighties classics but in all honesty they play Bad Boys every 10 mins, I now officially hate the song.
August 4, 201016 yr OMGZ NO ALEX BURK WHAT THE f*** IS RADIO 1 DOING    Even as a self proclaimed Alex loon I'm not surprised. :( It's a $h!t song.
