July 14, 200619 yr I don't appreciate Janet's sense of irnony..her lyrics are just lame. Mariah will so outdo her in the duet if it happens...i like the All 4 U single though and i bought the album when i saw it in the bargain bin at Asda for 49p :) 'All For You' is a good album. I never bought 'Damita Jo' as I thought the singles ranged from boring to dreadful. I love how frank Mariah is in the leading post. She seems to care that a song gets WRITTEN before she starts raving about it the way Jermaine does.
July 15, 200619 yr Mariah doesn't seem to know what's happening. "but he's got to let me know..." Edited July 15, 200619 yr by Flatcap
July 15, 200619 yr :( Yep, Mariah hates bragging about things until they happen cause otherwise she'll have loads of questions like 'why did you lie' etc lol
July 16, 200619 yr Author Still hope it's gonna be great, but isn't Janets album out soon? If so then they better hurry up. :o
July 19, 200619 yr Still hope it's gonna be great, but isn't Janets album out soon? If so then they better hurry up. :o Janet's album won't sell well. I predict that much.
July 21, 200619 yr Its her byfriend's fault, making her work with the likes of Khia, I mean really  We all know why she's with him, she's after a Mariah-sized hit and will do much with his fugliness to get there :smoke:
December 22, 200717 yr Janet Jackson is featured in the January/February issue of Blender magazine under the "Everything You Need to Hear in 2008" section. Below is an excerpt from the article. DREAM COLLABORATION - Now that Janet and Mariah Carey are on the same label, will we finally hear their superstar duet? Jackson is optimistic: "It's something we both want to do. Hopefully we'll get it done." Source: - Mariah Daily Journal. Update on this. Looks more promising now.
January 10, 200817 yr Author Especially considering both of their albums are being released at the same time. Mariah said she wanted to have 2 singles out at the same time... one solo and one duet? Janet has Feedback (which is doing really well :D ) and Mariah will have her own solo single, but both artists could use the duet to help their respective albums. :D Although Janet has a single already charting and an album planned for imminent release, Mariah however... -_-
February 4, 200817 yr Record executive Antonio 'L.A.' Reid is confident he can revive the careers of R&B singers Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson because he never stopped believing in their star power. The Island Def Jam boss was eager to sign both artists to his label - despite the commercial failure of their respective albums released by Virgin Records. After signing Carey in 2002, her subsequent debut with Island, The Emancipation Of Mimi, has gone on to sell more than 10 million copies worldwide - and Reid is convinced Jackson's upcoming album Discipline will have similar success. He says, "I firmly believe in truly talented people, particularly talented superstars. I believe if you have the talent, it's just a question of someone refining it and helping to make the right creative decisions. Talent always wins in the end; you're never over. As a matter of fact, I find that the marketplace generally is much healthier for icons than it might be for new artists, and I think that has been proven for many artists. When you look at the Eagles' success or the recent Led Zeppelin success, it tells me that people who grew up on these artists always love them, they just want them to make the right record. So I never really give up on them." Source: - Mariah Daily Journal. Interesting interview with a record executive.
