Posted August 7, 201014 yr OK so predict the final position of all 20 teams! 1. Chelsea 2. Manchester United 3. Manchester City 4. Liverpool 5. Arsenal 6. Tottenham 7. Everton 8. Aston Villa 9. Birmingham 10. Fulham 11. Sunderland 12. Blackburn 13. West Brom 14. West Ham 15. Wolves 16. Wigan 17. Newcastle 18. Stoke 19. Bolton 20. Blackpool Very difficult to predict this season. No-one has made any real buys aside from Manchester City and Chelsea. Obviously there's bias towards me with Liverpool, but I don't think we'll so as bad as we did least season, and if Liverpool keep Torres fit they'll be very dangerous. Jovanovic and Cole are a step-up from Benayoun and Riera as well. Bottom of the table will be as tight as ever. Clutching at straws with it. Only certs to go down are Blackpool imo.
August 7, 201014 yr 1. Man City 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. Man Utd 5. Spurs 6. Liverpool 7. Everton 8. Villa 9. Newcastle 10. Sunderland 11. Birmingham 12. Stoke 13. Fulham 14. Blackburn 15. West Ham 16. Wolves 17. Bolton 18. West Brom 19. Blackpool 20. Wigan
August 7, 201014 yr Author I'd be very surprised if Man City win the league. For the money they've spent, they could have spent ALOT better. They've been mugged off massively.

Yeah but Silva has the 3rd most assists in La Liga last season, Toure will give them some bite in midfield, Milner got tons of assists for Villa so I think they will create more chances than anyone next season in the EPL, whether those chances will be converted into goals is a different matter but their midfield looks scary tbh
August 7, 201014 yr Author I don't think Silva will adapt to the Premier League. Could be massively wrong, but don't think he'll adjust. I always think that was why Rafa wasn't so sure about spending all that money on him... great player, but unure whether he's adpated. Toure good I agree, but he played something like 12 games for Barcelona last season? I also don't think he's that good. Milner's great yes, but i'm unsure whether they'll get him. Ballotelli is not worth the money. I think they'll get Champions League, but unsure about winning the league.

Yeah will be interesting to see what happens I think City have got the most that they can out of their status, the true big names would never go there unless they had regular CL football, the likes of Torres, Iniesta, Kaka, Messi etc would laugh at them but a couple of years time could be a lot different
August 7, 201014 yr 1. Manchester United 2. Chelsea 3. Arsenal 4. Liverpool 5. Manchester City (It'll all fall apart after a while, trust me) 6. Aston Villa 7. Tottenham 8. Blackburn 9. Bolton 10. Sunderland 11. West Ham 12. Wigan 13. Birmingham 14. Wolves 15. Stoke 16. West Brom 17. Everton 18. Wolves 19. Newcastle 20. Blackpool
August 8, 201014 yr Everton 17th? I'd say they've more chance of winning it than finishing that low.... 1 Chelsea 2 Arsenal 3 Man Utd 4 Man City 5 Liverpool 6 Spurs 7 Everton 8 Villa 9 Sunderland 10 Fulham 11 Bolton 12 Blackburn 13 West Ham 14 Wolves 15 Birmingham 16 Newcastle 17 Stoke 18 West Brom 19 Wigan 20 Blackpool I think the top 6 will be very close, I'm going with Spurs 6th but in terms of points will probably be nearer to the title than last season.

For the money he cost is he really that much of an improvement on any of them? I don't think so really. Silva is a good player, but he'll replace Bellamy in the team who was probably their best player last season bar Tevez. He's got to be pretty impressive to be an improvement. If Milner signs he'll replace Johnson in the team, someone who they signed in January and proceeded to get a lot of assists. I think they're signing players for the sake of it and I don't think it'll work. Players like Hart, Bellamy, Bridge and Ireland will all leave (maybe only on loan) because their squad is too big and they'll all be going to rival teams because they're top 8 players.

West Ham 14. Stoke 15. Wigan 16. West Brom 17. Bolton 18. Newcastle 19. Wolves 20. Blackpool Before anyone says anything. Man City have spent in excess of 200 million pounds. No way can they lose the title!? Edited August 12, 201014 yr by Kaisa
August 12, 201014 yr Quite easily can they not win the title. They have too many big names to keep them all happy, they have too many players who are worth much less than what they've paid, they've too many players unproven at Premiership level, most of whom will be replacing players who have proven themselves in the Premiership such as Ireland, Bellamy and Bridge. They could only manage 5th last season after spending such vast amounts on the likes of Toure, Lescott, Santa Cruz, Tevez, Vieira, Barry, Johnson and Adebayor. Of those only Tevez and Johnson I think were worth anything like the money they paid for them. Toure and Lescott cost them the best part of £40m. I'm sure every Man City fan wishes either of them had performed even half as good as Richard Dunne did for Villa last season, someone Man City sold for about £5m. There's no guarentee that their new signings will perform either, especially when they'll be replacing the likes of Bellamy in the squad, who along with Tevez and Given, was easily one of the best players Man City had in both the reigns of Mark Hughes and Mancini. Silva maybe a bigger name, but I doubt he'll offer as much.
