I enjoy Ghost Whisperer. It’s more TV that is there to just chill out to than something I can really become addicted to like Buffy. Medium is good from what I have seen and I need to watch more episodes. I like the premise even if I’m unsure about the lead actress.

Angel is a fantastic series that although is not as good as Buffy it certainly is its own show. It relies too heavily on the connection to Buffy for its first season but as it progresses it creates its own mythology and becomes a lot darker and I personally found some of the later seasons to be much more consistent than Buffy’s even if the writers did butcher the Cordelia character.

Just been watching The OC again. I enjoy the balance between the cast but there are just so many episodes that are repetitive or where nothing really happens. I guess that’s the whole point of a teen drama but I still prefer Dawson’s Creek to it.

Being Human is a show I’ve only recently began to enjoy and one of the few British programmes I actually bother with.

Love also to Supernatural. I recommend you watch it if you haven’t before. The first 4 seasons all manage to top the predecessor before the 5th is a huge letdown but bleh.

Buffy deserved #1. I’m bias but I don’t care. The fact they write billions of academic essays on the themes etc proves it’s more than just a run of the mill, generic TV series and I honestly believe it made the idea of a heroic female lead in a drama series more appealing considering all the shows with the same premise that popped up around the same time and since [Charmed, Joan of Arcadia, Tru Calling etc]. There's obviously better vampire media out there but Buffy always spoke to me on so many different levels. It may have been a world about supernatural creatures but it had real life angst and issues alongside that, that I could relate to.

Scrubs was delightful though a bit repetitive towards the end. It’s one of those shows that specialises in a certain type of humour and as of such can only appeal to a specific market.

Mmmmhmmm. Thanks for the results so far. ^_^

Oh I forgot about this, hope we get the rest of the results soon!

Buzzjack's favourite character: Karen

Well if you ask me, this show can be summed up in one word, Ugh. Never been a fan of this show and don't find it funny in the slightest, and I've seen enough of it to base that judgment on it. Clearly some people like it though to vote it so highly. Am I correct in thinking Karen is the irritating one with the high pitched voice?

You have absolutely no taste in decent TV at all :o And, no, Karen is the AMAZING one with the high pitched voice.

Will & Grace is the first TV series i fell in love with and i still love it  The gag's stand the test of time, Karen Walker is my idol. W&G is one of my favourite shows of all time and probably forever will be, regardless of how $h!te the finale was.

James I think you should do us all a favour and SACK him.

f*** THIS

Buzzjack's Favourite Character: Steph Cunningham

Next soap up in the countdown is this teen C4 soap. I dont actually watch this but what I have seen of it has been pretty dreadful, so I'll fill this space by bragging with I know Fletch in real life. YEAH.

44 / Dexter / 261

Buzzjack's Favourite Character: Dexter

At #44 we have this unique American crime drama, which I've seen very little of but have been meaning to get into because I've heard great things. Essentially it follows the story of Dexter Morgan, a blood spatter analyst in Miami who also kills other killers on the side, fabulous. If you want to know more ask chrisfishlock, I hear he orgasms over it.

Buzzjack's Favourite Characters: Jack Bauer, David Palmer, Kim Bauer & Nina Meyers

First of all, can I just say as a side note to Chris how PROUD I am that Buzzjack prefers 24 to Dexter  Anyway, at #43 is my personal favourite American import of all time. 24 is a unique show in that it is structured with 24 episodes, each taking up 1 hour of a day (so obviously each season is one day). It follows the work of Jack Bauer who in Day 1 is a standra CTU agent trying to stop a terrorist attack, but after

the death of his wife at the end of S1

turns into even more of a protagonist protecting his country. The shows later seasons focus more on Jacks hardships and how his entire country is against him rather than the standard operating of a law agent, but it's a f***ing brilliant show. Check it out.

Buzzjack's Favourite Character: Linda

At #43 is this classic ABBA song which is apparently also a TV show. Gimme Gimme Gimme was a BBC comedy show which ran for 3 years and focuses as a modern twist on the traditional 'odd couple' format, much of Gimme Gimme Gimme's humour springs from its lubricious innuendo subplot, which springs from the mouths of both Tom and Linda. No, before you ask, I did not copy that from Wiki. :ninja:

APOLS for the delays, if Jark doesnt PULL HIS FINGER OUT soon I shall complete this alone.

Hollyoaks was actually quite possibly the best of the soaps for a time, roughly 2002 ish. Unmissable. Gone almost totally to poo now of course.

41 Have I Got News For You 274 points

This satirical panel show has been going for twenty years and, thanks to the simple fact that the news just keeps on happening, the material never runs out. Angus Deayton presented for twelve years until he was hit by a sex scandal and promptly thrust aside. Many doubted that the show could survive without him but the idea to revolve hosts each week rather than employ a new regular proved to be genius and the show has kept its audience. Notable guest hosts include master of dry wit Alexander Armstrong, who has hosted some sixteen times, and the mother of all MILFs Kirsty Young, who's hosted eight times. Occasionally the guest host proves to be absolutely terrible - and usually that just makes the show even funnier. Have I Got... is THE panel show, in my opinion, although a few finished higher.

40 American Dad! 276 points

Buzzack's favourite characters: Francine & Roger

I watched this by chance and was pleasantly surprised to learn that despite its close relationship with Family Guy - both were created by America's favourite geek Seth MacFarlane - AD! is actually much, much funnier. The greatest character is surely Roger the alien, a camp extra terrestrial with a huge 5head and a penchant for trashy food whose presence in the Smith household is never questioned. The rest of the family is made up of dad Stan (a wildly incompetent CIA agent), ditsy but devoted wife and mom Francine, repulsive teenage nerd Steve, his gothic tearaway sister Hayley and the pet fish Klaus, who spends his life yearning for Francine and is actually a German athlete whose brain was inserted inside a fish's body by the CIA. If that sounds wonderfully bizarre it's because it absolutely is, and it's a great shame that Family Guy gets all of the attention when the jokes come so much faster in this. Hang your heads, Buzzjack.

39 Skins 282 points

Buzzack's favourite characters: Cassie & Michelle

Presumably for old times' sake, Skins manages a top 40 finish here. Personally the first two series didn't do it for me but pretty much everybody agrees that it's been steadily going to pot, not least in the fourth and most recent series in which everybody was, like, totally fucking hideous. The third series showed glimpses of promise but the writes' tendancies to add in endless drama for the sheer sake of it as well as their massively out of touch ideas about teenage life in 2010 brought the show crashing down. A third cycle of characters will be introduced when series five begins later this/next year. Judging by the press photos they're all total HIPSTERS so I don't have much faith but there you go.

American Dad and Skins over Dexter, oh dear.

Gimme Gimme Gimme is a good show,

Skins used to be really good but went downhill

Hollyoaks is good atm !

i rarley know any of these shows.. oh dear.

38 / I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! / 282 Points

It's quite laughable how high this is to be honest, and it's only our lowest reality show! At #38 is this show set in the Australian outback where Ant and Dex put a bunch of Z-listed "celebrities" in a jungle for 3 weeks and make them eat kangaroo balls. Epic.

37 / Keeping Up Appearances / 289 Points

Buzzjack's favourite character: Hyacinth Bucket

At #37 is another British sitcom about eccentric, social snob Hyacinth Bucket (or Bouquet as it were). Essentially the whole show is about Hyacinth trying to convince the world she's some pompous bitch as far as I understand it, sounds a tad bizzare but whatevz.

36 / Loose Women / 290 Points

I was wrong about I'm a Celeb, this is laughable. For some insane reason Loose Women, the daytime chat show hosted by a bunch of randy middle aged women bitching about their husbands and men in general has made it as high as #36. I'll let you guys field why this is so high, it drives me up the wall.

It's not the Australian Outback :kink:, it's a National Park in South East Queensland barely into the range, and on the Civilised side of the range at that.
