It seems like this season was the best one yet for her character and I'd say she edged out Dexter for the center of attention even!!

I just hope they put

Yvonne Strahovski into next season's regulars and not this stupid 'special guest star'. I WANT TWO OF THEM TO GET MARRIED AND LIVE HAPPILY EVER AFTER

Yvonne was so, so good in this! I've not seen her in anything else, but I was really impressed with her.

Surely she has to come back next season? Maybe now Deb has killed Laguerta, she'll be OK with Hannah? Or at least better than what she was!

Next season is going to be interesting though. Where can they go with this, that's interesting and unpredictable enough? I literally have NO IDEA apart from

they're gonna be on the run for most of the season/talking about it and what they should do etc.

Anyway;

Watch 'Chuck', Jonjo. She was a regular there.
I actually believe they could pin this on

LaGuerta. Like she made a deal with Hector and something went wrong and shit. Season 8 opener if played wrong could be a disappontment.

And it would be a shame since it's the last season ever.

Or not!! :o

The Hollywood Reporter: Will season eight be the final year, or might Dexter continue to beyond that?

Scott Buck: I don't have an answer to that because that's a Showtime decision. As far as I know, no actual decision has been made yet. I wish I knew so I could plan my life accordingly, but I don't really know.

From one of those facebook fanpage things!

They have got to end it, surely? I don't mind if the creators want to start a fresh, new spin off sort of show (maybe set in the future with Harrison?) but as long as it's not 'Dexter: Season 9' it'll be alright.

They'll have to make it happen in year 2030 or something

It'll be weird without Dexter on TV :(

I know  BUT if they were to continue 'Dexter', they better end at Season 10 as that would be a nice, rounded number. :P

Surely not cause if they get the bullet they would be able to tell it was shot from debs gun.

I thought about this.

Maybe they could get the bullet out or something? But yeah it seems a bit far-fetched.

RUMOUR HAS IT...

-

Hannah (Strahovski) wasn’t killed off, which surprised me since usually guest stars tend to only last one season on the show. Will she be back next season?

Executive producer Scott Buck: I certainly hope so, yes. I can’t elaborate because we’re just at the beginning of figuring out next season and deals have not been made yet. But I’m very interested in having Hannah back.

- BREAKING NEWS!!!! -

No more 9-month waiting! Executive producer Scott Buck, revealed on Vulture, that Dexter Season 8 and possibly Final Season, is going to begin this summer (instead of September, or October).

Some exciting stuff! I also heard that in regards to the above, last comment/rumour, if Season 8 IS to be the final, ever 'Dexter', then they're gonna make it 16/17 episodes, just so they can reach the 100th episode. (I'd love that more tbh).

Oh and I really hope the second one is true! Dunno if I can cope with another 9 month wait. (But I get the feeling the director actually meant start filming and production, as opposed to premiering the Season).

Somebody give me some advice - should I get in to this?

I watched an episode once and wasn't too fussed about it. I've heard it's really good but it's quality can be quite inconsistent, going from sublime to just ok. There's a TV lull gap for me at the moment with no Walking Dead, Game of Thrones or Breaking Bad in my life.

definitely, there is a bit of a lull for me in season 4 or 5 can't remember which but the last 2 have been amazing telly, second for me behind The Walking Dead.

Well, you seem to love Breaking Bad so you're DEFINITELY going to like Dexter. No question about it.

I'd say so. Even if you found it just "ok", I think you'll get addicted and watch it just because you sort of want to know what happens etc.. When it's good, it's seriously some of the best stuff I've ever seen. I get that it can be a bit "meh" at times, but tbf, I expect that in a TV show, so I let the odd episode or so off. It's worth starting just to watch Season 4 tbh. That season is the best season of any TV show I have (personally) ever witnessed. John Lithgow is outstanding!

Season 5 is the only season I actually dislike (although the last 4 or 5 episodes get better - still "meh" overall though and I found it hard to get through - I can't stand slow things (I think that's why I haven't properly bothered with 'Breaking Bad')). Season 6, although the writing is not the best, I still thoroughly enjoyed it and it was my second favourite season up until the last season that's just aired. Season 1 & 2 are excellent and good starting points for a TV show I think, it drops a little during season 3, but worth sticking with for S4 :P (I'm over hyping S4 now, so I'll stop ha!)

But I think the worst you'll come to think of it, is that it's just "decent" and it'll keep you interested enough to continue it (this is based on a couple of my mates who felt a similar way to starting the show and what they seem to think of it). But yeah, judging from what I've heard of the sort of shows you like, I think you'll like it.

But for me, it's my perfect show

The whole thing is worth watching just to see the final 5 minutes of season 7.

I don't mind slow bits so long as they have a greater purpose. It's when you know things are being done/written just for the sake of it that I can't stand. I think I'm gonna get in to it, I'm sure I'll like it.

Showtime are just too much. I really hope they don't drag Homeland out this long. However, this season has been the first decent one since season four.

OKAY I just saw this and I cannot help but posting it in here
