February 15, 201114 yr I have a horrid feeling this will come back to bite me on May 15th, but I'm going to stick my neck out and predict that this won't do anywhere near as well as most of you are predicting. Yes, it's feel-good, but it really just screams jury-friendly toned down Allez Ola Ola and doesn't have winner written on it at all. Low top ten likely, top five at best. That said, I'm pretty certain the only reason so many of you are overpredicting this is because we haven't heard much else good yet and so this fairly obviously stands out, but frankly calling this one of the favourites to win when we've only heard a quarter of the songs (none having been revamped yet) so far strikes me as faintly ridiculous. No matter how many songs have been picked, it's pretty easy to tell when something is going to be a hit or not. It's like saying 'That's ridiculous to say that The Last Time will win BJSC, 35 countries still haven't confirmed yet'. Doesn't matter, a good enough song/whole package will stand tall above the rest unless something extraordinary is entered. There's nothing faintly ridiculous about predicting success for Stella imo, it's a likeable anthemic song with crossover appeal that's more likely to do well than not. Not that I ever predicted it to win anyway - I only mentioned somewhere that if the contest was held with the current 11 entries then it would wipe the floor with everything else - not that that's indicative of much as only a quarter have been chosen/heard  Perhaps it's a little far fetched to say 'we might be back in Oslo next year' as some already are but it's certainly not an impossibility - we may not know 30 of the entries but we know about some of them. Bosnia-Herzegovina, Cyprus, France and Germany it's fair to say probably don't have a winner based on their artists/what we know of the songs/fact that there's no Satellite. Blue it's hard to tell but knowing the UK's usual bad fortunes, the song will be a victim of self hype and b-side quality. Plus we already know of the quality of the material in at least another 10 national finals, and it's not exactly high in most cases...
February 15, 201114 yr Oh, I'm not calling it faintly ridiculous to predict success for it (I even said myself I expected it to go top ten!) - but as a guaranteed contender for victory as some are suggesting? I'm really, really not seeing it and I'm thinking people are probably being a little too hasty...
February 20, 201114 yr --- Why didn't Norway send this?!?!?! This had potential to be the next Lordi.
March 1, 201114 yr Haha  reoBue9iMe4 A Norwegian politican said some.. racist things about stella on facebook  racist alert Rita Ormbostad: "I'm gonna sharpen a spear and buy bongo drums to Dusseldorf. Possible I travel to Africa to see the final there, and then eating wildebeest"
