August 30, 201014 yr I just don't understand why they've combined all the version of Three Lions! They haven't combined all the versions of Band Aid when they're all clearly the same song. The OCC really need to show some consistency!

August 30, 201014 yr Author Jackph89 - The OCC could argue - rightly - that the 3 Band Aid No.1's don't, (mostly), have the same Artists Singing on them. 'Three Lions' may be different recordings - but they are by the same Artists. (That is a fact - whether one agrees with The OCC decision or not). Edited August 30, 201014 yr by zeus555
August 30, 201014 yr Thanks for posting-Surprised that Boney M were that popular 2 songs Top 10 shocked that Holi Holiday is not there  .Are there any sales figures to go with the chart?
August 30, 201014 yr The OCC could argue - rightly - that the 3 Band Aid No.1's don't, (mostly), have the same Artists Singing on them. 'Three Lions' may be different recordings - but they are by the same Artists. (That is a fact - whether one agrees with The OCC decision or not). I guess :) What do you think about Ian Dury and the Blockheads? Do yout hink the OCC must have got their data wrong because I just can't understand why it's so high up on the list!
August 30, 201014 yr I missed this (damn exercise!). Thanks for the lists and info, very interesting.
August 30, 201014 yr They have missed out Peter Andre Mysterious Girl, it sold 1,036,000 excluding any download sales. Edited August 30, 201014 yr by fiesta
August 30, 201014 yr Author The OCC make different decisions, (about Hits), as the Years go by. The fellow who worked for them on the November 2002 Top 100, is no longer there, & the fellow who worked on the 2010 Top 100 has chosen to make some different decisions - like combining the Sales of 'Three Lions', from 1996, 1998, & since. It isn't that The OCC are inconsistent. It is that the Guys who worked on the 2002, & 2010 Top 100's, made a few different decisions.
August 30, 201014 yr So, Bleeding Love, Poker Face and Spice Girls Say You'll Be There haven't made the million yet then :(
August 30, 201014 yr  How bizarre that BM by New Order is next to Kylie's CGYOMH saying thats a famous remix of the Kylie track.
August 30, 201014 yr Being italian i'm very happy to see in the top 100 3 italian production: BLACK BOX - WHIGFIELD AND EIFFEL 65 (ITALIAN BORN TOO)
August 30, 201014 yr They have missed out Peter Andre Mysterious Girl, it sold 1,036,000 excluding any download sales. Why is it eligible for the chart? They missed out millions of songs.
August 30, 201014 yr Why is it eligible for the chart? They missed out millions of songs. There only is 101 million sellers, and Im pretty sure its ranks higher than 101
August 30, 201014 yr There only is 101 million sellers, and Im pretty sure its ranks higher than 101 Maybe OCC lost the original sales
August 30, 201014 yr There only is 101 million sellers, and Im pretty sure its ranks higher than 101 Well yeh, all the lists I've seen show that Mysterious Girl should have been included in the top 100 million sellers list. Well actually in 2005 according to that denden link, it had only sold 930,000 which includes the 2004 re-release. I doubt it's sold 70,000 copies in 5 years so maybe it shouldn't have been included :S
August 30, 201014 yr There only is 101 million sellers, and Im pretty sure its ranks higher than 101 Do we know the sales of RB Unchained Melody?
August 30, 201014 yr Do we know the sales of RB Unchained Melody? not really, but if you take extremely unpopular singles that were in the 2002 chart, you can say with pretty much certainty that they wont have sold many in downloads since 2004. For example Eyel Level By Simon Park 1,005,000 in 2002, not gonna be alot more than that now, 5000 maybe absolute max.
