Reading back over this thread. The memories

BUT...

The Edge of Glory should have never made the album, it belongs on a Hannah Montana album, there are no words to describe how much I dislike the song! It's not Lady Gaga and it doesn't work at all.

...is unforgiveable.

After the listening party yesterday, this album hasn't left my mind. It's such an incredible collection and I think I will ALWAYS have time and love for it

It's always tinged with sadness when I listen to this album or when I think about the entire era. I went through it all originally with somebody who I thought was going to be in my life forever (she was my absolute best friend and we both loved Gaga so much) and she no longer is. It's just a shame that my favourite album of all time is an album I can't listen to without feeling extremely melancholic.

EDIT: Don't mean to get all maudlin. Just kinda nostalgic tonight :P

That's upsetting but at the same time it shows the power of music, especially an album like this that I am sure shaped many of our experiences growing up over the past decade. I remember exactly where I was in so many moments of this era's timeline (moreso than albums that have been released much more recently!)

Me too in regards to knowing exactly where I was during certain moments. I remember sat on my bed when I first listened to Born This Way (the song) for the first time and totally freaking out. I remember going on a late night walk an hour or two before the Marry the Night video premiered. I remember going into my local HMV on the morning of May 23rd 2011 and buying the album bang on 9am and feeling annoyed that there was one other girl with the album in front of me getting served  I could go on and on.

Beautiful memories indeed.

Omg I'm so embarrassed by that comment :drama: Delete it pls

Surely you meant Bloody Mary or Judas, actual slabs of Steps-lite cheese??

I've just ordered the red vinyl as I couldn't resist - the postage doesn't seem as bad if it's split between two so I've convinced myself that I've made it cheaper by ordering the blue Artpop also :kink:
