Good end of series I think. A lot better than the dreadful series 5 overall and I'm glad Steph is back. :) I could see the school giving Grantley the money from a while off, but I'm so glad Bex stayed; she's gonna be a great character! ^_^

I think they could've delved a bit more into Bex, rather than just ending it after Sam saw her- but overall it was a pretty good series finale, far better then S5's

But I think that's the problem. The endings were all too predictable.

I can honestly say, this show has gone so downhill since the days of Series 3 and 4 etc. (I can't comment on the series prior as I hadn't watched them)

I'm losing total interest in this series, i'm not surprised its not been getting discussed on here since it returned.
So am I :( I miss Rachel :drama: She was amazing.

I agree!

On a side note, the actor who plays Jonah came to my school today (and as expected, all the girls went crazy). My sister is delighted that he waved at her.

Rather chilling in parts tonight! The climaxing scenes were great, so I can't wait for the conclusion next week! More comedy gold from Ruby and Grantley today which was great too. I cannot STAND the dire storylines that Denzil keeps getting though -- hopefully next week (in what looks like his exit) will bring an end to the nonsense.
The lady who plays Cesca was acting a bit OTT at the end tbh :( Great ep though, can't wait to see if Jonah and Cesca get to Gretna now! And the Denzil bits look exciting (even if he is really annoying and a bad actor), hopefully it's his exit! :P

I was wondering where the thread was for this

its not been the best of series admittedly, does anyone really hate this Cesca/Jonah storyline? its cringey, the actors have a lack of chemistry and its WRONG! its against the law, I cannot see how this wedding can actually go ahead

I agree, I think it's awful and just a stunt to get publicity. $h!t acting from both involved as well which doesn't help -_-

I hate the storyline, it's appalling. That said, I don't think the actors are bad, at all. I just hate that they've done it. -_-

Never been the same since the days of Izzie and Lorna...even the Neil Morrissey and early Eva Pope series were very good...definitely still worth a watch but not compulsive viewing anymore (like Shameless, unfortunately, although IMO recent Shameless>recent WR)

Waterloo Road does seem to have taken rather a lot of its cast from Shameless

I've been noticing this aswell recently. It still rather confuses me as to why Rebecca Ryan would leave a role as one of the most prominent characters in Shameless for playing second fiddle to Karen's daughters storylines in WR though.

I completly agree aswell that the show is clearly not what it use to be. The two first season's were really by far the best, though the Eva Pope years were mostly rather enjoyable aswell. I do wish Waterloo Road would scale down the kids storylines in favour of the teachers sometimes aswell.

I've actually been really enjoying this series, although admittedly I didn't watch the first few series so can't compare
