You probably all know already but just in case ... Rob and Gary are on the Paul O'Grady show chatting and singing Shame (Friday, 8th October) can't remember the time or channel. Makes no difference to me ... I'll be in Liverpool watching Level 42! Cannot wait! Not seen them for years but Mark King is definitely one of the best bass players ever! Shame he left his wife to run off with the nanny!

Have a brill time :cheer: , great band

They are indeed! I've seen them six times in total including a massive Princes Trust concert where they were the house band for the evening and a brilliant open-air do at Crystal Palace where they and Squeeze (another fab band) were the sole performers! I'm going with my sisters ... one of whom is not familiar with any of their stuff ... I'm prepping her at the moment!

I can't get into this song, even tried downloading it and adding it to my MP3 but nope not a fan :(

Deep down ... I don't think anyone likes it. The tune and the lyrics are just so ... well ... crap!

It's a song that I have obliterated from my mind , dreadful & dire & utterly boring :manson:

I Heart & I sounds quite good & I love the sound of Birds & Dogs ( very Amy Winehouse type of track & suits Robbies voice really well )

B)

I can honestly say i love shame, its a real grower, i admit when i first heardit i wasnt what i expected at all, but it grew on me i love it now, i love its simplicty.

^ I love it too, its simplicity is its charm.

I don't think it will be #1 though, Cee-Lo will go to the top I think and Shame will be another #2 for Robbie.

Can you really see it making top 20

Top 20! im expecting #1 or top 3 at the very worst.

It's number 1 on pre-orders so I'm certain it'll make number 2 on the official chart ... I can see it just missing out on the top spot. Not bad for what is obviously a song they both wrote in their sleep.

Why so sure about F.U. ? It really doesn't ring any bells to me it is just funny...The fact that F.U was no1 on airplay and Shame no2 last week is the reason a lot of people are suggesting this, isn't it? But this is a really controversial argument since Shame got and will get more support from Radio + TV! Anyway Shame has preorders on its side and will probably sell about 100K which is not easy to battle for an unknown act with little promotion.

Shame on SCD last night. Never did I think Rob would be on SCD sitting on a stool to such an old fashioned sounding track and standing up at the key change. :( It was vocally a very strong performance from both though - and I did think it was amsuing how eager Rob was to get up and move and interact with the crowd but Gaz had to tip him on the shoulder and then later suggested they sit back down on the stools.

I doubt Shame will be #1 now. A song called 'f*** You' by someone by the name of Cee Lo Green is likely to beat them  It is currently #4 on Itunes and climbing (apperently #1 when combined) where as Shame is #7. Also F.U is #1 on Airplay and Shame is #3 - and more significant on TV Airplay last week 'Shame was #38 but this song was #4.

Rob and Gaz should've waited to release it next week and perform on the XF. SCD wasnt good enough promo as I doubt it main viewer ship download singles much :P

Btw apparently TT and Rob are going to be on the XF this coming Saturday or Sunday to sing the Flood and an old track. Seems very odd tbh - why waste an XF slot when the single isnt out till November? And it will only have had it's first play on radio? Also annoying as Rob should be promoting his GH out the following day. He should be doing a one off gig on ITV after the XF on Saturday to promote it but instead will be singing with TT when their single and album won't be out till the following month?

Also Rob will be on Daybreak tomorrow for the whole show and will be singing Shame with Gaz as well.

I ordered a copy. I'll never play it. But I need my collection to remain at 100%.

I still hate the live version of Shame so badly! 9/10 of the time it sounds so out of tune and there is no melody at all, both sing it in a very harsh way...

I still believe it can be a no1 though ;)

I couldn't watch the SCD performance ... the first 40 seconds or so were on before I started to feel violently ill. I managed to get to the remote and switch over before I collapsed with a severe attack of 'cringeitis'. :puke2:

That is so painful to watch and listen to.
