PRODUCERS NERVO HOPING TO LAND “QUIRKY” LOVE SONG ON RIHANNA’S NEW ALBUM!

Many of the collaborators working with Rihanna on her new album are looking to take her from the dark and moody tone of her last album — inspired mostly by the break-up with her famous ex — into a happier place, but if London-based producer/DJ duo Liv and Mim, collectively known as Nervo, have their way, singing about love won’t be off the menu.

Liv and Mim, twin sisters from Australia, known for writing and producing songs for pop elite like Ke$ha, Britney Spears, Kylie Minogue, and Kelly Rowland, and longtime collaborators of David Guetta, tell NeonLimelight.com they’ve crafted something special for the pop princess that they hope will make the final cut of RiRi’s as-yet-untitled fifth album.

“It’s a love song,” Liv told us coyly, not wanting to go into detail since the song hasn’t officially been picked up for the album, though Team Rihanna “really like” it. Pressed for more, she answered: “It has a quirky lyric actually… a really quirky lyric”

Moving from pitching the track to getting into the studio with Rihanna to bring it to life would be music to Nervo’s ears since Rihanna is high on their list of artists they’d love to work with.

“I just love her and I think ‘Rude Boy’ is such a great record,” Liv said. “She’s on fire. I really can’t wait to work with her.”

Rihanna’s new album is currently scheduled for release later this year.

I will find hilarious if the producers talking about the upcoming album don't make the final cut. :heehee:

That's right, it's pretty much confirmed that the new single will be out late summer, Rated R is officially done (after 'Hard').

Here's the chat via Twitter:

Q: luvRockstar101

@SRPrecords will rihanna release firebomb cuz its kinda picking up on itunes jus wondering RIHANNA IS THE QUEEN! :D
A: SRPrecords

@luvRockstar101 no plans for that-and yes,she is the queen!

Q: luvRockstar101

@SRPrecords is rihanna done with the rated r era?
A: SRPrecords

if u mean no more singles/videos from rated R -yes....get ready for the next era!

Q: RihannaLuver123

@srprecords do you know roughly when Rihanna will release her new single ? will it be before summer ends ?
A: SRPrecords

@RihannaLuver123 hopefully by the end of the summer!

They also said "it will be a return to her pop roots but will have enough variety to please all her "true fans."

I really am annoyed now. Ah well. Nine Times Out Of Ten artists leave their best tracks as album tracks :drama: It's not the first time RiRi's done it, is it?

Excited for her new era. Hopefully another XF performance :)

Hopefully this album is gonna be a smash  surely a return to her pop roots would see her smashing the charts once again :P

I hope the whole 'the bar for this album is MJ's 'Thriller' is true if so then were gonna have 100000 singles again :P

I loved the Rated R era, the music was just amazing. Hope this time she doesn't leave any good tracks out (e.g. Breakin' Dishes & Fire Bomb)

Roll on the fifth album :yahoo:

:w00t: Great news! Cant wait now! I still really love Rated R but I think I prefer her 'pop' sound more, very excited now :D

Why do people think 'Rated R' flopped? The singles have been VERY successful and the album has now sold way over 500k. So why people say things like "smashing charts once again" and stuff, is beyond me.
^sorry :kink: I love Rihanna to bits :D she's my favourite singer, but what I meant by that was how her singles sales were having chart longevity in the US and stuff. Rated R singles have been successful IMO considering her image change but they havent stayed as long and sold as much as the GGGB singles (bar Rude Boy). The album itself sold 2-3 million worldwide which is respectable considering the state of the market.

It's not passed 300k yet has it? :o

EDIT: Clearly i'm living under a rock LOL

Rihanna Rated R 454900. VERY nice sales!

The week it debuted at number 17 or whatever it was, it sold 60k-70k I think...
She's moving on far too quickly for my liking. I've got this bad feeling that it's gonna sound like GGGB and be a regression in sound or all sound like Rude Boy copies.

I'm worried about this too tbh. :(

Still excited for it though, new RiRi is always a good thing <3.

Her albums have so far, all been better than the previous. NOTHING to worry about yet!
I'm looking forward to it, I don't really listen to Rated R much now.
