September 2, 201014 yr Author It's not a great deal different really, I think I prefer the original version - lots of unnecessary tweaking in the US version. It's no less poppy so I don't really see the point.
September 9, 201014 yr I'm not the biggest fan of the song, but this performance is one of my favourite Delta performances ever: 0WJpKDm50Tc The audience absolutely love her and she's so adorable. Come back, Delta!
September 9, 201014 yr Darren Hayes did a brilliant cover of it too at the ARIA's in 2003. His voice sounds great on it - his hair looked dire though; TeIrv7-C9fw
September 9, 201014 yr My favourite Delta single without a shadow of a doubt, and one of the songs which made 2003 for me.
September 9, 201014 yr I almost screamed when Fast Food Rockers overtook it at the last minute for a top 3 chart position :drama: I remember it being #2 in its midweeks, I want to say behind Evanescence but I can't remember for sure.
September 9, 201014 yr If it were Evanescence who topped the chart that week than i approve :o Actually, *looks up* yeah it was their 3rd week at number one! FFR were 2nd LOL. It tells so much about British public!
September 9, 201014 yr From the sublime to the ridiculous...as is always the case in the UK charts. Although this year it's usually the ridiculous at #1 and the sublime at #2 :( Alexandra getting her carnival on at #1, knocking off Olly 'cod reggae' Murs, whilst Queen Katy Perry has to settle for #2 with BuzzJack's favourite song of 2010.
September 9, 201014 yr I remember seeing it at #2 in the midweeks that week, I was shocked and I had expected Fast Food Rockers to be a surefire #1, and they were #4 initially.
September 10, 201014 yr Thank goodness we held onto a shred of dignitiy by not allowing that monstrosity to go to #1! Was released a year too early I think - 2004 was the year for truly dire #1's (Babycakes, Eamon etc... :puke:). 2003 was actually very decent in that respect, some real classics at the top - Crazy In Love, All The Things She Said, Bring Me To Life, Leave Right Now etc...

September 29, 201014 yr That #1's list was truly dire though. 2004 had its moments (mostly from Delta :kink:) but certainly hardly any of them got to #1. Take Me To The Clouds Above, Lola's Theme and These Words are the only ones I cared much for. Who wants to see my 2004 top 40 end of year chart? All of you? Here it is then; 1. Sarah McLachlan-World on fire 2. Shapeshifters-Lola's Theme 3. The Corrs-Summer sunshine 4. Natasha Bedingfield-These Words 5. Delta Goodrem-Out of the blue 6. Kelly Llorenna-This time I know its for real - The greatest video ever 7. The Corrs-Baby be brave 8. Sarah McLachlan-Fallen 9. Natasha Bedingfield-Unwritten 10. Dannii Minogue VS Flower Power-You won't forget about me 11. Zero 7 feat Sia-Somersault So gorgeous, one of their 'holy trinity' 12. Julie & Ludwig-On again...off again 13. Special D-Come with me 34. Atomic Kitten-Right now 2004 35. Atomic Kitten-Nothing in the world 36. Delta Goodrem-Electric Storm 37. Neo Cortex-Elements 38. Sarah McLachlan-Time 39. Kylie Minogue-Red blooded woman 40. Natasha Bedingfield-Wild horses Some classics in there no doubt, two Special D entries are surely justified! Mind you, four of my all time favourite albums came out - Afterglow, Mistaken Identity, Unwritten and Borrowed Heaven and that's not to be sniffed at. No album released in 2010 comes close to any of those four for me. Those gasping at the low positions for Electric Storm, Mistaken Identity and Extraordinary Day - I compiled this chart three weeks after I got the album - it's a wonder they made it in at all! They all finished much higher in my 2005 end of year chart.

September 29, 201014 yr The middle eight of Try is what makes it for me - along with the perfect verses, the instrumentation...well, obviously all of it's perfect to me, given it's my favourite track out of some of the amazingness the last decade threw up
