And I can't believe I only put Lucky as my 2nd fave Britney song! :o I've always classed it as my no.1 fave! Why I didn't put it as that, who knows :drama:

I can see why "Boys" is so low. That awful remix killed the beautiful album version. :(

 

Shame about "Slave" being lower than "Lucky"... I've always found "Lucky" quite cheesy.

 

In regards to "My Prerogative", didn't Britney co-write the intro spoken part?

Lucky :wub: One of her best. Really bittersweet song, and a sign of the Britney to come in the future

 

I think Slave deserved to be higher since it was such a risk taker for Britney. I do think Before The Goodbye would've been a bigger worldwide hit for her, had they gone with their instincts.

 

My Prerogative I liked at the time, but it soon got extremely boring for me, and now it's one of my least favourites by her.

Second hit single from Britney's first compilation album GH:MP. For me this is really great dance-pop track, but I thought that everyone's like more My Prerogative than this one. Music video was directed by Britney and Billie Woodruff who has worked with her on 'Born To Make You Happy'. In the charts this was decent hit, it's peaked in many countries in top10/20 and in USA at number 100.

"Do Somethin'" is such a fun song and I think Britney really LOVES performing it :)

Agree with the above, it's far from her best singles.

'Do Somethin'' is the perfect example of a song being "underrated" imo. It doesn't get half as much love as it sure as hell deserves.

I think 'Do Somethin' is underrated.

Second single from Britney's selftitled album 'Britney'. This is one amazing track, absolutely perfect pop track. The video is great too. In the charts this was good hit. It's peaked in top10/20 almost in all bigger countries. In the USA and Canada this song peaked at number #86 & #22, but not original version nor the Darkchild Remix. For me that remix was totally unneeded.

I'm suprised Overprotected finished outside the top 10, despite not being one of her most sucessful I've always considered it one of her most loved, though perhaps by more of the casual fans like myself than the die hard fans. Still, one of my favourites (as evidented by my placing of it as 4th).

 

Not huge on Do Something I admit. Nowadays it has a sound of a Kesha reject to it, though I enjoy it occasioanlly if feeling in the mood for some trash pop galore.

Overprotected is amazing :wub:. Definitely one of Britney's best of her earlier stuff.

 

Strange that the likes of '3' and 'Break The Ice' are still to come.

'Overprotected' is AMAZING! Another one of her most underrated singles. It's literal perfection. If I could give 11 out of 10's to as many as I wanted, this would get my last one :wub:
