Posted September 3, 201014 yr http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/c/c4/Comearoundsundown.jpg I thought there would've already been a thread on this, but I couldn't find one. I know lots of people really don't like them, but I don't think there's any doubt that this will be huge. 01 'The End' 02 'Radioactive' 03 'Pyro' 04 'Mary' 05 'The Face' 06 'The Immortals' 07 'Back Down South' 08 'Beach Side' 09 'No Money' 10 'Pony Up' 11 'Birthday' 12 'Mi Amigo' 13 'Pickup Truck' Because of how huge 'Only By the Night' (and of course, the singles) were, I often forget how much I actually loved them. I did really like 'Only By the Night' as an album too (especially 'Closer' and 'Crawl'), but I haven't listened to it in a long while. I don't really know what to expect from this release to be honest. I just hope they haven't let the success go to their heads. First single, 'Radioative' is supposedly getting its first play on Australian radio on Sept. 9th. Edited September 3, 201014 yr by Cremey
September 3, 201014 yr Might look forward to this to be honest. OBTL was a likable album. I haven't bothered much about KoL for over a year. Maybe I didn't bother much because they are still annoyingly selling enough records. But wait, is that the official cover? That is actually disappointing. Edited September 3, 201014 yr by FM11
September 3, 201014 yr I did really like 'Only By the Night' as an album too (especially 'Closer' and 'Crawl'), but I haven't listened to it in a long while. Ooooooh my two favourites of their last album were these two songs. And they weren't released :(
September 3, 201014 yr ^:  I will definatley be checking this out, because some of their stuff is pure genius and even some of Only By The Night is decent. As long as it's not Sex On Fire pt. II we have no issue.
September 3, 201014 yr They're good and easy to like but nothing more.. It's the same with The Killers (post-Hot Fuss) Crawl and Closer are great songs and I liked SOF and Use Somebody too. Won't rush buying this album though without proper listen first.
September 3, 201014 yr UGH NOT THESE f***ERS THEY SUCK AND THEY ALWAYS HAVE TERRIBLE FANBASE MISOGYNISTIC DON'T GET ME STARTED
September 3, 201014 yr UGH NOT THESE f***ERS THEY SUCK AND THEY ALWAYS HAVE TERRIBLE FANBASE MISOGYNISTIC DON'T GET ME STARTED THIS THIS THIS.
September 3, 201014 yr Author As I said in the first post, I KNOW lots of people on here don't like them etc. I nearly didn't make the thread at all because I thought it'd get ridiculous responses, but I thought that maybe members wouldn't be so ridiculous. It seems I was wrong. Yes, feel free to not like them. But is there really any need in the posts above? Do they really add anything to the forum?
September 3, 201014 yr Can't wait. I thought Only By The Night was a really strong album...I initially thought it was their best and it carried on their tradition of them getting better with each album, but in hindsight their 3rd album was. I don't like the fanbase they've attracted now, but MEH. That's what happens when a good band gets v.popular.
September 3, 201014 yr At V fest (that's right I was at V lolololol) I heard some Sex On Fire loongirl go "I hate how they think they are bigger than their fans." I lol'd.
September 3, 201014 yr Yes, feel free to not like them. But is there really any need in the posts above? Do they really add anything to the forum? YEP no seriously but i can't think of a more terrible group of musicians, i think the reason i get so worked up is that people actually take them seriously and think they make legitimately good music? but really, people always complain about misogyny and sexism in rap music but it's just as ever present in indie music thanks to the likes of douches like kings of leon
September 3, 201014 yr I really loved 'Use Somebody' and 'Crawl' from the last album but that was about it, 'Sex On Fire' became as annoying (if not moreso) than 'Rockstar' in the end. Some of their older stuff was quite good though.
September 4, 201014 yr no seriously but i can't think of a more terrible group of musicians, i think the reason i get so worked up is that people actually take them seriously and think they make legitimately good music? but really, people always complain about misogyny and sexism in rap music but it's just as ever present in indie music thanks to the likes of douches like kings of leon That has always been the case in (white) rock music. It's also funny that people can complain about rappers and at the same time listen to AC/DC. I have no problem with KOL though..don't think they're the worst.. Edited September 4, 201014 yr by SKOB
September 4, 201014 yr Their last album was decent, if not as good as their previous two. I shall look forward to it....
September 4, 201014 yr Their last album was decent, if not as good as their previous two. I shall look forward to it.... Agree with this wholeheartedly. Their first three albums contained some cracking tunes although I hope the new one isn't too arena rock.
