We've had 'Love The Way You Lie' and currently 'Teenage Dream' which look set to outsell many of this years #1 hits (in the case of Eminem, he looks set to outsell every single one of them this week!!! :kink: ).

I wouldn't be so sure... Nadine isn't near as popular as Cheryl. The Sats could finally get #1. And I think Higher stands a good chance at being their highest selling single (it's currently Up, right?)

The Saturdays do have a good chance, but imo i think Nadine will walk it. :)

October could have #1's by british artists only. At least something good since the songs aren't.

Arent the Saturdays out the same week as Magic by B.o.B- that will be their main competition wont it, would be seriously hilarious if he beats them to number 1- they would probably try and collaborate with him next! :lol:

Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle will have no problem getting #1's as soon as they get a slot on X-Factor. Same for Alexandra, I'm sure her team will prep a performance date for her too.

Never know cheryl cole is so huge she could make 2 weeks at #1 or more regardless of 'competition'. We'll wait and see.

Looking at the pop bars, Shontelle should go top 5 before the day is out.

Just cos you perform on X Factor, doesn't mean you'll get to #1. Granted it enchances your chances but look at Leona. I know BEP also performed, but still...

Or Janet Jackson who went all the way to #73 with her single that she performed on there last year.

 

The song's that do well would probably have been #1's or at least top 3's without X Factor, yes they increase the exposure and open it up to bigger sales but if there's no or litte public interest in it, X Factor can only get a song so far (see that Foreigner cover by Mariah Carey for another example). The producers basically get on the act who most likely would have been #1 anyway, the day before the song's released. Not coincidental, just common sense by the producers/record companies.
