I agree with chart wizard's prediction, although I think GA will end up at #1 and Sats at #2. Oh, and BEP might be higher that Spice Girls.

I'm surprised that Destiny's Child is that high as they don't exist any more. Same with Spice Girls. Both are Top 20 material (Spice Girls especially as a cultural phenomenon)

But Sugababes, Girls Aloud, The Saturdays...For me who doesn't live in the UK all those three lack personality. Catchy tracks are all they have.

Especially Sugababes..How can the Top 5 group be a group that doesn't have no original members left. Not much of a good group imo.

COME ON THE SATURDAYS! The best all round girl group going - more vocally talented than either Girls Aloud or Spice Girls, more likeable at present than the Sugababes and with a more consistent standard of album than any of the others, Destiny's Child included!

I know I'm odd to have Arctic Monkeys as my No.1 and the Saturdays as my No.2 but what can you do. They are absolutely BRILLIANT.

As for those we've seen, did like S Club but they weren't as good as Steps IMO, Muse and Killers both produce wicked material, good to see them both do well... the ones outside the top 10 were a bit ??? t.A.T.u were very high, unexpectedly for me!

Destiny's Child (also known as DC or DC3) was an American R&B girl group comprising lead singer Beyoncé Knowles alongside Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams. Formed in 1997 in Houston, Texas, Destiny's Child members began their musical endeavors in their pre-teens under the name Girls' Tyme, comprising Knowles, Rowland, LaTavia Roberson and LeToya Luckett. After years of performing underground, they signed to Columbia Records and changed their name. Destiny's Child was launched into mainstream recognition following the release of their best-selling second album, The Writing's on the Wall, which contained the number-one singles "Bills, Bills, Bills" and "Say My Name".

Despite critical and commercial success, the group was plagued by internal conflict and legal turmoil, as Roberson and Luckett attempted to split off the group's manager Mathew Knowles. They were soon replaced with Williams and Farrah Franklin; however, in 2000, Franklin also parted with the group, leaving them as a trio. Their third album, Survivor, which contains themes the public interpreted as a channel to the group's experience, contains the worldwide hits "Independent Women", "Survivor" and "Bootylicious". In 2002, Destiny's Child announced a hiatus, allowing its members to attain individual success. They re-united with 2004's Destiny Fulfilled, and a year later during their world tour, announced that the group would disband and its members would pursue solo careers.

Throughout their career, the group released four studio albums and achieved four US number-one singles. They had sold over 40 million records worldwide as a group, 50 million including their solo album sales before their disbandment, becoming one of the best-selling recording artists in the U.S. Billboard magazine ranks the group as one of the greatest musical trios of all time, and inducted the group in 2008 into the All time Hot 100 Artist at 68th place. In 2005, the World Music Awards recognized them as the World's Best-selling female group of all time. Since Splitting Beyonce has a massive success of a solo artist.

Wonderful to see Destiny's Child this high, they never get enough love on BuzzJack usually so I'm glad we finally saw some sense here. Would have prefered to see them above the BEP's but I think the masses would have been disgusted at an all girlband top 5.

I have no idea if I should be supporting The Sats here or not, cant really remember if they or Girls Aloud were top of my votes.

But anyway ideally for me

I dunno, I feel The Saturdays recieved a number of KK's which have most probably knocked them down a posistion or two. And depite the fact I vastly went off them in their last era, the BEP's do have a lot of fans on BJ.

Destiny's Child are rather meh. Bar a handful of songs 'Lose My Breath'/'Cater 2 U' & 'Emotion'. I really don't care for them. Particularly 'Survivor' and 'Independent Women', which are two of the most overrated pieces of crap I've ever heard. :puke: VILE SONGS!

Looking at their discography now actually and it's literally only those three songs I like  OVERRATED GROUP.

.A.T.u. (Russian: Тату́ pronounced [tɐˈtu] ( listen), transliterated as "tattoo") is a pop duo formed in Moscow, Russia in 1999 by Ivan Shapovalov. The group consists of Lena Katina and Yulia Volkova. Known worldwide, they are the most successful Russian band to date.

Their debut single "Ya Soshla S Uma", Russian version of "All The Things She Said", was released in December 2000.[5] It became a huge hit in Russia and Eastern Europe. In early 2001, Shapovalov signed a recording contract with Universal Music to release the debut album, 200 Po Vstrechnoy. It was released in May of that year and became multi-platinum in Russia and platinum in Europe, making t.A.T.u. the first group from Eastern Europe to get the IFPI platinum award. In late 2002, they released 200 km/h in the Wrong Lane, the English version of 200 Po Vstrechnoy. With the release of this album t.A.T.u. became the first group ever to get the IFPI Europe platinum award for the same album in two different languages, the album also got the diamond certification in Japan and gold in the United Kingdom and the United States. The album's lead single "All The Things She Said" spent four consecutive weeks at the number 1 spot in the UK Singles Chart, and topped the charts internationally.

In May 2003, they represented Russia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Riga, Latvia, with "Ne Ver', Ne Boysia", where they placed third. In 2004, the group took a hiatus after they split from their producer, Ivan Shapovalov, during the Podnebesnaya show.

In October 2005, they released their second album, Dangerous and Moving, and its Russian counterpart, Lyudi Invalidy, which became platinum in Russia. In late 2006, girls released a Best Of compilation, and then ventured on their own after negotiating out of their contract with Universal Music.

The third Russian studio album, Vesyolye Ulybki, was released in October 2008 in Russia, and its English counterpart, Waste Management, in December 2009 digitally around the world. Currently the band is on a hiatus again while Yulia and Lena pursue their solo careers.

The Black Eyed Peas (BEP for short) are an American pop and experimental hip-hop music group that formed in East Los Angeles, California in 1995. The group is composed of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist will.i.am and vocalists apl.de.ap, Taboo, and Fergie. Since their third album Elephunk in 2003, the group has sold an estimated 35 million albums worldwide and 21 million singles, and 56 million copies with both sales combined. They scored their first worldwide hit with "Where Is the Love?" in 2003, which topped over ten charts worldwide. Another single was the European hit "Shut Up". Their next album Monkey Business was another worldwide hit, certified 3x Platinum in the U.S., spawning two hit singles "My Humps" and "Don't Phunk With My Heart".

In 2009, the group became one of only eleven artists to have ever held the number one and two spots on the Billboard Hot 100 at the same time with their singles "Boom Boom Pow" and "I Gotta Feeling", from the album The E.N.D., and the singles also topped the chart for an unprecedented 26 consecutive weeks combined in 2009. The album later produced a third Hot 100 number one with "Imma Be", making them one of the few groups to ever place three number ones on the chart from the same album. The album also includes singles such as "Meet Me Halfway" and "Rock That Body".

Before The Black Eyed Peas, will.i.am and apl.de.ap were in a group called The Atban Klann signed to Eazy E's Ruthless Records. The Peas were ranked 12th at the Billboard's Decade-End Chart Artist of the Decade and 7th in Hot 100 Artists of the Decade.

Their single "I Gotta Feeling" has become the first single to sell more than 1 million downloads in the UK

The Spice Girls were a British pop girl group that formed in 1994. The members consist of Victoria Beckham (née Adams), Melanie Brown, Emma Bunton, Melanie Chisholm and Geri Halliwell. They are signed to Virgin Records and released their debut single, "Wannabe", in 1996. The song hit number-one in 31 countries and helped establish the group as a "global phenomenon". Credited for being the pioneers that paved the way for the commercial breakthrough of teen pop in the 1990s, their first album, Spice, sold more than 23 million copies worldwide, becoming the best-selling album by a female group in music history. They have sold over 75 million records worldwide with only four albums and twelve singles, making them the best selling girl group of all time. Measures of their success include international record sales, a 2007–08 reunion tour, merchandising, record-breaking achievements, iconic symbolism such as the Union Flag dress, "Girl Power", a box office hit movie Spiceworld and their nicknames.

Under the guidance of their long-time mentor and manager Simon Fuller, the group embraced merchandising and became a regular feature of the British press. Each member of the group was given an alias by Top of the Pops magazine in 1996, which were adopted by the group and media alike. According to biographer David Sinclair, "Scary, Baby, Ginger, Posh and Sporty were the most widely recognized group of individuals since John, Paul, George and Ringo." They are the biggest cultural icons of the 1990s, according to a survey carried out by Trivial Pursuit, winning by 80 percent in a poll of 1,000 people carried out for the board game, stating that "Girl Power" defined the decade.

In May 1998, Geri Halliwell left the group in the middle of numerous rumours. The four remaining members released the third album Forever, but went their separate ways in November, 2000, to focus on their solo careers. On 28 June 2007 all five reformed before the launch of their Reunion Tour in December, alongside the release of their Greatest Hits album. In December, a new official documentary Giving You Everything aired on various television networks around the globe. The tour was a success and is estimated to have grossed over US$100 million. The tour won the Billboard 2008 Touring Award for Top Boxscore for a 17-night stand at London's O2 Arena.

Didn't think Sugababes would still be loved on here after the year they've had!

I'm very pleased though, and now they better win!!!

LOL, Sugababes vs. GA yet AGAIN. Sugababes won't win this, people just tend to remember who they are now instead of how great they used to be.

Sugababes are an English pop girl group based in London, consisting of members Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen. The Guinness Book of World Records have named the Sugababes as the most successful female act of the 21st century with six UK number one singles and eighteen UK top ten hits.

Sugababes were formed in 1998 by founding members Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena and Keisha Buchanan. In 2001, after just one album and some initial success, Donaghy departed and the introduction of Range in the same year was met with the commercial success. The group survived a second line-up change in December 2005, when Buena left the band and was subsequently replaced by Berrabah. In September 2009, it was confirmed that after eleven years in the band, Buchanan was no longer part of the group and had been replaced by Ewen.

Girls Aloud are a girl group that were created through the ITV1 talent show Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. The group consists of Nadine Coyle, Cheryl Cole, Sarah Harding, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh. Following the success of their debut single "Sound of the Underground", which spent four weeks at number one, the group has achieved a string of twenty consecutive top ten singles (including four number ones) and two number one albums in the United Kingdom. All of their albums have been certified platinum, with their greatest hits album The Sound of Girls Aloud selling over one million copies. They have been nominated for five BRIT Awards, winning Best Single in 2009 for "The Promise".

Girls Aloud's collaborations with Brian Higgins and his songwriting and production team Xenomania have earned the group critical acclaim, due to an innovative approach to mainstream pop music. The group has become one of the few UK reality television acts to achieve continued success, amassing a fortune of £30 million by May 2010. Guinness World Records lists them as "Most Successful Reality TV Group" in the 2007 edition.
