I meant that it would never have been huge so it's not like it was some big missed opportunity but it's not like Please Stay was massive either so it wouldn't have been some huge loss if they went with it instead of that. I'd say it could have scraped top 10 too. It wasn't an essential single at all but I would have liked to see it.

A lot of fans seem to like it but I find it totally bland.

February 2, 201213 yr Yes, just like Britney's fans loving Criminal made that a great single choice. Top 55 Billboard $ma$h!!!! I personally don't see any "this would make a good single" qualities in Speakerphone. It's not very catchy to my ears and I don't think it would be a great addition to her discography looking back. But then lots would say the same about my choosing Light Years as a single.
