September 15, 201014 yr #1 for sure. Personally I am not a fan, I quite like the verses, the chorus is okay but the background 'Bad Boys' esque sirens are just messy and the really annoying French intro that is repeated after every chorus is just vile. It will be massive just on the fact its Cheryl and an X Factor slot is obvious  .

September 15, 201014 yr #1 because it's Cheryl. Cheryl + lead single = #1, whatever the song is. The song itself however is crap imo. The "alouette" bits are just laughable, they sound like a complete mess in the verses. Maybe it'll grow on me but at the moment I can't see it happening.
September 15, 201014 yr The trouble with such Polls is that some people Vote for what they'd like to happen, rather than what is most likely to happen. So, it is totally NOT going to be a Flop, & is almost certain to be a No.1. People who Vote for 'Flop', are Voting on the basis of disiking the Song and/or Cheryl Cole - rather what is most likely to happen.
September 16, 201014 yr I'm guessing Top 5, don't wanna say an actual position because I'm really not sure
September 16, 201014 yr the 12 people who voted not number 1 and the 6 who voted for flop are :hithead: MaYbe they want this to flop. Anyway, I don't care if it sells 5 million copies even. She will NEVER be respected in the music industry.
September 16, 201014 yr She will NEVER be respected in the music industry. What do you call the "music industry" exactly ? I don't think she's going after a Grammy award really. The masses love her music, and that's what matters.
September 16, 201014 yr What do you call the "music industry" exactly ? I don't think she's going after a Grammy award really. The masses love her music, and that's what matters. She's hardly credible isn't she? The masses also loved Macarena, Teletubbies and other crap.
September 16, 201014 yr She's hardly credible isn't she? The masses also loved Macarena, Teletubbies and other crap. But who cares if she is "credible" to people like the Brit Awards Academy ? She does music, lots of people love it and buy it, and she got recognition from the press and from some artists such as Will.i.am. If music snobs don't find her credible, I don't think it's going to ruin a career or bother her that much.
September 16, 201014 yr To be honest, it's more like people like *her* rather than her music which is quite weak. :( And it's not only my opinion, a lot of even Girls Aloud fans think that '3 Words' album was very weak. That's why this and similar threads are just full of 'It will be #1 just because it's Cheryl' comments. We know that the new pre-album Cheryl single will go #1 whatever quality it is. IMO quality-wise this single is top-20 worthy.
September 16, 201014 yr The Cheryl Cole 'thing' is all nonsense anyhow. The UK Press/Media - some sections - tell us that she's 'The Nation's Sweetheart'. (At no time - ever - will the vast majority of Britons accept that she is any such thing). She is too 'fragile' to take her 'X Factor' Group to an over-seas 'Judge's House' - so hers have ended up in Poole in Dorset. But, she's OK when it comes to going to LA to Record etc. Basically, the whole thing is false. Very manipulative, & taking people to be idiots. Sadly - many - fall for it. And Cheryl & Simon are laughing all the way to the Bank.....She can't even Sing! And her New Single is dreadful!
September 16, 201014 yr That's why this and similar threads are just full of 'It will be #1 just because it's Cheryl' comments. We know that the new pre-album Cheryl single will go #1 whatever quality it is. I don't agree, her popularity is part of her success of course, I'm no denying that, but it doesn't mean it all. Her 3 singles have been really popular and had a very wide appeal, and I guess that's why people bought the album then too. Or let's put it an other way : if people had hated her singles, they wouldn't have wasted their money on Cheryl's album, no matter how much they like her. We have had MANY examples of very popular artists who flopped badly, so it's not all down to Cheryl's popularity. Actually I'm not that certain she will get number 1 with this single, especially since the competition should be very high (and we don't know when Rihanna's song is out).
September 19, 201014 yr the 12 people who voted not number 1 and the 6 who voted for flop are :hithead: I noted 'not #1' because I really don't think it's good enough to do so. If the XF connection overrules that, then so be it - but that won't change my opinion. As for the 'flop' voters, it surely must be a protest - hard to imagine anyone *really* believing the song will do that badly.
September 19, 201014 yr I noted 'not #1' because I really don't think it's good enough to do so. If the XF connection overrules that, then so be it - but that won't change my opinion. This is a prediction thread, not an opinion thread
September 19, 201014 yr This is a prediction thread, not an opinion thread  But what *is* a prediction, if not an opinion on where the song will chart?
September 19, 201014 yr But what *is* a prediction, if not an opinion on where the song will chart? My opinion is the song is crap. My prediction is that the song will be No 1.
September 19, 201014 yr But what *is* a prediction, if not an opinion on where the song will chart? Prediction has nothing to do with your personal opinion... eg. you could absolutely hate Shame (as the majority of BJ do) but that won't stop it from being an easy #1. Same applies here.
