Oh so that WAS Craig then? :o I thought it was him at first but then because he had been around for a bit now I just thought the right wing void had been filled, I was wrong then!

I think Cameron's lead is going to increase quite significantly this weekend

There is going to be a massive riot on the streets of Central London today with left wing anarchists smashing up everything in sight, Miliband is speaking at the demo so when the riots kick off which they will then people and the right wing press will associate Miliband with the thugs and it will damage Labour in the polls.

This is going to be the poll tax riots all over again -_-

4 days later... Labour have restored a 10-point lead in tonight's YouGov poll. I remain in awe of Craig's political fortune-telling. http://imgsrv2.tennisuniverse.com/wtaworld/images/smilies/notworthy.gif

That was one of the more obvious clues that Craig was attempting a comeback.

I still don't quite understand how he ever thought that the right wing press being against Miliband (shock! horror!) would damage Labour in the polls. Does he not at all understand the theory that preaching to the converted achieves nothing?

Then again, he seemed to base his entire world view on what was popular or not by what the average Mail reader thinks. People being FOR the tuition fees rise, really?

I still remember when he claimed Simon Cowell's endorsement of the Conservatives on the eve of the election would seal the deal because, to paraphrase his words, Cowell is apparently "the biggest idol to people under 40 in Britain today".

I genuinely have no idea how someone can have a world perspective so blinkered. This must be what happens when you read The Sun and The Mail exclusively and take it seriously.

Did he not think it would be ever so SLIGHTLY negated by Cheryl Cole coming out in favour of Labour, given if Simon Cowell was first she'd obviously be second? Then again, we're completely ignoring that he was steadfastly predicting 100+ majorities up until the month before the election... :D

If Cheryl supports Labour, I will support Conservative

Hate to admit it, but I laughed out loud at this.

I was going to add something like 'how silly' ... but I have to admit - I'm no better. Since Gary Barlow openly declared himself a 'roaring tory-boy' (I'd sneakily suspected it but thought he'd have the good sense to keep it to himself) I haven't bought a single Take That product!

That's kind of better though, you're letting someone's political alleigance influence what you think of them rather than being as fickle as Shelli and letting an illogical opinion of someone influence your own political alleigance.

Considering he's from somewhere that the Tories completely destroyed (and one of the few examples of good work that Labour did in turning it around) I found it particularly disgraceful.

I was particularly disgusted by his walkabout with 'Dave' at that Brine Leas school. A school whose results and standing were improved largely by Labour's BS4TF program.

Anyway - I agree with your earlier assessment of Barlow. He's a t**t!

OMG YES

http://politicalscrapbook.net/2011/04/ed-m...nose-operation/

Ed Miliband is to have his adenoids, tissue at the back of the nasal cavity, removed to improve his voice. While James Lyons’ exclusive has not been published online at the time of writing, the front page of the Mirror reports Miliband’s aides have advised him to have the op to help “turn him into an election winner”.

Scrapbook earlier entered ”Ed Miliband nose” into Twitter to gauge when the story broke online. The search results may explain why advisers are so keen to see their boss go under the knife:

Yeah, he has a few other presentational problems, but let's face it - the voice has ALWAYS been an absolute killer in the minds of the average person who even knows who he is.

Is this actually true, or some belated April Fool's?!

I've never even HEARD of an "adenoids operation"!

Apparently true! Political Scrapbook are quite reliable when it comes to stuff like this, they've had their scoops picked up by the Guardian after they've broken them.

Yeah, just saw it on the Mirror site...how bizarre.
Yeah he does sound "bunged up" perhaps once he gets his sinuses unblocked he can sniff a bit of reality and get a policy or two on the table so we can start judging if he's any good or not? :P

Will be interesting to see how recent events affect the polls. The most recent YouGov/Sun poll from 4/5th July said:

CON 35% (235)

LAB 43% (376)

LIB 10% (15)

That's a projected majority of 102 for Labour.
