I actually quite like it, well I prefer it to Promise This anyway. Very nicely done and oh god, I cant actually think of anything negative to say about a Cheryl solo song. The world is ending.

So that all can be good with the world again, I will just say that the interview on R1 was just awful, and just consisted of the usually amazing Sara Cox sucking up to her completly. Cheryl spent the interview just wasting time, not answering the questions people actually cared about.

Amazing

Great for the album it will have "Promise This" to stir huge interest and then "The Flood" will keep the momentum going.

Love it!!

Brilliant interview too, she has a great knack of keeping her personal life private. Good on her for not giving into Twitter pressure. :P

I didn't know she'd be on Radio 1! :o :( I missed it all, but listened on that link and like it lots. :) It's sure to be a grower though! :D
Amazing. Not that it's going to be at all indicative of the quality of the album though.
The lyrics and production are nice enough, but that's where it ends for me, I don't find her voice emotive at all, and the slow pace of the song shows up just how bland and uninteresting it is too. I much prefer Promise This, because the song doesn't have to rely so much on the vocals, and it has a strong beat that carries it and has more going on, where I don't feel the Flood goes anywhere. A clever strategy though to sell the album with both a ballad and an uptempo, and at least she's trying to show another side of her voice.

I didn't think much of it after the clip and the first listen, but then it took me by surprise !

That's one of those ballads that the more you listen to the more you love ! Pleasant enough

I'm impressed that Cheryl is doing what Britney hasn't done in an AGE and taking the risk to release a ballad. I'm surprised she even recorded it, let alone putting it out there. It's very good though - although not as instant as her other songs.
   My fave song of hers to date!
