Reading his interview with digital spy i think this album is being really tight on the everything cost wise. Despite having written/worked with Red One and Taio Cruz none of the songs from those two will be on the album, and the album will most likely only have 10 tracks. Looks like syco are being very very cheap.

I think he should dump them and try for another label like Fascination or something, they'd probably be interested in him.

A Nickelback cover? I... actually can't believe this...

It should be a smash, like a Top 5, if radio stations are gonna get into it. I expect the original to peak higher than #20 soon.

It is ok, but such a shame, he needs a new record label!

He needs a backbone, like all Cowell artists. If the artist's themselves have no drive or direction in their career they are doomed to failure, as Cowell is so lazy & has no interest in developing long term artists.

Unlike St. Will you mean.

I'm dismayed at this choice of single for Shayne. Some of the demos and leaks I've heard were much much better than this. How can he be successful with a Nikelback cover? Syco obviously have given up on him. I feel sad as he does have a great voice but you wouldn't know it amongst all the auto tuning and synth effects. A disaster of a single - I really don't know how it could be any worse. Maybe a Gary Glitter cover?

You cannont stay away for over two years and come back with a well known song cover (unless you're Westlife).

Not saintly but someone who has balls.

This DS interview spells out why Shayne will never have long term success.

Could he get any further up Cowell's backside despite how he's been treated.

If I was Simon, I wouldn't have a problem with that :naughty:

Seriously though, he looks AMAZING at the moment. I guess it was too much to hope for that he'd sound amazing too.

Oh meow - saucer of milk for one

TT your link doesn't work - try this one: http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/music/s103/the...hayne-ward.html

How involved is Simon with your career these days?

"Nothing gets past Simon - not the songs, not the video, not the album cover! He's just so passionate about everything. Oh God, if Simon says it, it goes! I mean, I'm not going to argue with Simon Cowell and his track record, am I?

Says it all. Not passionate .... controlling. And his 'track record' leaves a lot to be desired

I think he should dump them

I think that's easier said than done Jack. If he's tied into a - say - 5 year/5 album contract - he's stuck until that contract expires or Scowell decides to let him go. The strings pull in one direction, and I don't think it's Shayne's. Poor sod.

And I agree - he's looking fabulous.

Ugh, why did they give Shayne a cover? :puke2: He's so much more talented than that...it's so sad. I don't think Shayne's version is horrible, but come on, we need original songs! I pray the other songs on the album aren't covers.

Is it just me, or does he have just a slight resemblance to Adam Levine there?

He seems quite happy to be a puppet on one of Cowell's many strings. Just beware. Any second he could cut you loose and you're left flailing around in the water. Oh wait...

Couldn't believe this when I heard it on the radio the other day, I ASSUMED it was WetFlies latest cover release *yawn*

What a shame, and yes he looks great at the min, body to die for.

Listened again, and i quite like it, bit cheesy but not too bad. He's a good british male artist, we dont have many, and hope he does well with this album. Hope he gets an X Factor Slot, i think he will.

I actually like this :o

I never bothered with him before now but i think I'll download some of his music.

This sums up everything I hate about The X Factor.

It's not really about the X Factor though.

Leona, Alexandra, Diana and other X Factor contestants have come up with such amazing and original music. You can't blame the show if Shayne can't show any artistic originality whatsoever. And it's not exclusively a X Factor thing anyway, there are lots of crap artists in the charts who are aren't X Factor related too.

I think we are due some nudity from Shayne.

I saw a picture of him online recently - I think it must be one of his album pix.. He was stripped off leaning back - not full body shot but down to his hips. I tried to find it again but could only come up with the picture I posted, but I'm sure it was on the Daily Mirror site.

Ah editing to say - I found it on Digital Spy Gay forum - but that wasn't where I first saw it I hasten to add
