September 20, 201014 yr How do you know what is unknown? Who decides? The moderators. As we've said, it's been painfully obvious what sort of thing has been ruining this contest over the last few months, so we're not taking complaints that we're not going to know what's not 'unknown' or not...
September 20, 201014 yr Author We aren't retarded, it is painfully obvious what is unknown [Molly Sandén] and what is uninspired and destroying the contest [Love The Way You Lie].
September 21, 201014 yr people will still know who sends what...a lot of people over here are friends in twitter, facebook, msn and so on.
September 21, 201014 yr There always will be someone whose entry is somewhat obvious (Joanna Newsom and Nick, me and any song in danish :kink: ), but i ASSUME that there's gonna be the same 'you can't tell who you sent nor you can guess who sent what or you will be disqualified' rule as in UP. You obviously can't rule out the possibility of knowing who-sent-what spoiled by msn or twitter although the latter is dangerous since everybody might see it. And if you tell a person which song you sent you gotta trust them to not tell it to anybody else after all!
September 21, 201014 yr also is not going to be difficult at all to find out what Rich will sent :)...just check his chart and see what song is the highest charting that is not US/UK top 40 :)...unless he hides it.

This could be a problem...I might rename it until the contest is over, like I did with Sheila - Dancing Psycho earlier in the year :heehee: But I'll make it even less obvious, and change the names completely. As long as I know it's charting for my own records, it's fine - I NEVER hold songs back from my chart for any circumstance, it's really not a personal chart otherwise.
September 21, 201014 yr I agree and now my chances to sent albanian songs are ruined  It's not that you had been OVERSENDING those for the 26 contests you've been in.

Indeed, i never hold any song back from my chart. In the case of the UPII I hid any Valravn song and album i had until the last week, i was too cba, it's not like my chart is that popular. :heehee:
September 21, 201014 yr It's not that you had been OVERSENDING those for the 26 contests you've been in. but still it's pretty obvious that no one else will ever sent albanian songs...as of other languages (french, danish, swedish) lately we had them in almost every contest from different countries...but anyway not that I desire to send albanian songs every contest...I hardly find them BJSC worthy no matter how much I like or how great they are.

September 21, 201014 yr Really :o What was it called? That was what I called it. It was really called Sheelah - Psycho but I called it Sheila - Dancing Psycho when I was charting it before the reservations opened, so that nobody could Google it and steal it :heehee: As soon as I confirmed it, I changed the name of it in my chart.

I was the only one who sent a song in Turkish and started the whole danish songs boom when i wasn't obsessed with Denmark (the latter - iirc) so you might not know. September 21, 201014 yr I was the only one who sent a song in Turkish and started the whole danish songs boom when i wasn't obsessed with Denmark (the latter - iirc) so you might not know. I still listen to Hande - Romeo from time to time ...shame that people ignored it at that time and probably it was not the best time to sent it because iirc after you sent Romeo, electro-pop was booming and almost everything from that genre qualified if not win the whole contest. EDIT: lol I've just realised how often I typed 'time' :heehee: Edited September 21, 201014 yr by Addy!
September 21, 201014 yr Yeah, but let's be honest - Romeo was pretty crap  If we're on about amazing electropop from Eledan that missed out, it's got to be My Show  Robbed!
September 21, 201014 yr I agree and now my chances to sent albanian songs are ruined  Anonymity's important (as with Unknown Pleasures if we have people announcing/telling other people what they've sent they will be disqualified), but it's not THAT important - don't be stopped from sending something just because it might be obvious it's you. After all, nobody has any solid way of proving that it's you!
September 21, 201014 yr Author Exactly! I'll still be continuing my entry strategy, after all it finally proved victorious
September 21, 201014 yr Indeed, i never hold any song back from my chart. In the case of the UPII I hid any Valravn song and album i had until the last week, i was too cba, it's not like my chart is that popular. :heehee: I didn't bother hiding my last UP song coz no-one looks at my chart anyway!
September 21, 201014 yr Exactly! I'll still be continuing my entry strategy, after all it finally proved victorious  I'd like to keep up my 'hit' streak, seeing as Varsta Schlagern just scraped a hit. I haven't flopped since Example and before that way back to Vincent! I do think that the anonymity will work in the favour of the countries that usually do well as well as against. Yes, we won't get the 'friendly votes' or friendly nudge up if they were ever there anyway but by the same token, I don't feel anywhere near as much pressure to perform - it's not like people will think 'oh I'm sick of Rontvia and Mdice doing well, I won't vote as high for them this time', seeing as they won't know what we've sent - at least it will truly just be about the music and no blame can be placed on what or who people vote for. Not that I'm saying that this is a common practice, but I know I'd be more surprised if a country that usually fail sent an incredible song than if Kopecka did, and I feel very over generous constantly putting Kopecka amongst my top marks all the time, part of me sometimes wants to knock their mark down a bit to give others a chance :heehee:
