Daniel auditioned for every series of the X Factor until he finally made the live shows in Series 5 in 2008. He was the oldest of the 12 finalists. Evans decided to participate this year following the death of his wife after she gave birth to his daughter. Throughout the live finals, he repeatedly received criticism from both Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh. In week five a campaign was started by Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles urging his listeners to vote for Daniel. Moyles described him as "Rick Astley's dad" saying "he's never going to win, so vote for him to annoy Simon and Louis". Evans was eventually voted out in the sixth round, after a sing-off with Rachel Hylton.

Ashley auditioned for X Factor Series 3 in 2006. He was in the bottom three during the third week of the live shows but avoided elimination. He was eventually eliminated in week four. During the show Simon said he was "cocky, unreliable and all over the place". Sinnita however, said that she loved him and that they should take a chance on him and he was then therefore put through to the live shows.

Both have gone into obscurity now- Daniel was awful, he only got that far because of his sob story about his dead wife- harsh, but true

Ashley I cant remember very well- but he wasnt great

Daniel was a load of crap.

Ashley had a really good voice, and one of the only other people apart from Leona that I remember from S3

Did I vote in this? I think I meant to but can't remember if I ever got round to doing so!

Anyway, pleased both those 2 finished so low :)

Girlband were a four piece group comprising of sisters Tita and Phoebe Lau and their friends Marissa Billiterri and Layla Manoochehri. The girls faced the bottom two, two weeks in a row. In the first week against Badlashes where they were saved. However, after facing the bottom two again for the second time against Ruth Lorenzo as they had received less votes in the public vote earlier. Since the competition ended the group has split up.

Chenai entered The X Factor at first in Series 1 and made it as far as Sharons bootcamp before being sent home in tears. However after auditioning again in 2005 all three judges were in agreement that Chenai had improved massively in the last 12 months and she breezed through the early stages of the competition before being chosen by Louis Walsh to be one of his four acts to compete in the live finals. She was eliminated in Week 4 after finding herself in the bottom 2 for the second time. In 2008 she eventually signed a record deal and was due to release her debut single "Bounce" with a dance act called Lockout.

Beverley auditioned for X Factor Series 4 and was 38 years old at the time. She auditioned in Birmingham and is a member of the award-winning Kingdom Choir who have performed as backing vocalists on both The X Factor and Grease Is the Word. Beverley was eliminated on Week 6 after being in the bottom 2 for the second time in the series. It was stated in 2008 on Xtra Factor: One Year On that Trotman had signed a record contract, and that her debut album would be released in 2009. In 2009 she played Ms Sherman in the UK tour of the musical Fame.
