I'm loving the sound of the new Janine storyline, well not loving it but...

Falling back into prostitution and ending up gang raped :o Janine needs a serious storyline after the poisoning etc at Christmas

:o Tbh, I hope that storyline doesn't happen,

the thing with the gang rape sounds too disturbing for me to watch if I'm honest

.

Well it's hardly going to be EXPLICIT is it? How absurd.

Yes I know, but I just don't really like watching things that involve that.

Why start trying to attack me with things that are personal? -_-

ACTUAL LOL AT AIDAN. I take it you opposed to the Tony/Whitney storyline too then?
I'm not saying they shouldn't do the storylines, it's a good thing that they try to do storylines with things that involve that, but I just don't exactly like watching it. People do have opinions you know, and that's mine.

I didn't know you were able to form opinions Aidan?

So if you think it's a good idea.... why shouldn't they do it? No ones forcing YOU to watch. Personally, I know it's not real and therefore can appreciate it.

You just know Aiden is the one who fires off 247 angry "viewer complaints" to OFCOM everytime there's even the slightest allusion to violence or sex before the watershed.
Nah, that would involve making his avatar and signature the Ofcom logo and transforming himself into an Ofcom executive.
I find it quite funny how some people like you get away with being rude about other members on here whilst others don't. And make sure you spell right next time.

Oh GROW SOME BALLS. I don't understand why you would give a shit about a few people pointing out how ridiculous it is to be offended by the very suggestion of a delicate storyline such as rape. It IS ridiculous. If you don't think so FINE but don't get the HUMP about it!

Billy says "How about a Christmas tip"

Janine replies "Don't forget to take the giblets out of the turkey" :heehee:

Great punchline

Did Dot say she was watching Coronation Street Live, to which Kat replied she'd rather watch her "moudly old knickers" or something?

Yes, a rare allusion to other soaps. But Dot did say that Corrie was her favourite :o

Reading this page, some of you come across really badly. Aidan's allowed his own opinion!

If you don't agree with what he's saying then fine...I can see why someone wouldn't want to be watching something about gang rape. Yes, it's obviously not going to be explicit etc. but it's hardly something lovely to watch/hear about is it?!

On to the show, I love how even when Janine's genuinely upset about something I still don't feel sorry for her! I did love her 'I'll kill him' line at the end though. With most people that's just an expression but with Janine, who knows?

Tonight's episode might've been pretty low-key (especially in comparison with Corrie!) but I thought it was really good. This has been the strongest week since the week of Ronnie's wedding probably. Janine in particular was outstanding - when Pat was skirting around the subject and Janine yelled her name with such BRUTE FORCE that you actually saw Pat recoil - that was quite shocking I thought! Charlie Brooks is an underrated actress when it comes to emotional stuff. I don't agree at all with what Cremey said - throughout this Ryan/Stacey affair storyline it's been Janine I've been siding with because ultimately she is vulnerable, she's been a good wife to him and she certainly doesn't deserve this.

Not that I'm going to let one dodgy storyline at the very end of her reign taint Stacey for me. She has been EastEnders for the past half decade. Right now though I'm Team Janine.

I am also Team Janine, have never been overly keen/un-keen (is that a word?) on Stacey, although I'm finding her a bit smug in the past few weeks!
