Posted September 26, 201014 yr SUGABABES beauty Amelle Berrabah was arrested on suspicion of drink- driving following a late-night bust-up with her boyfriend, we can reveal. The drama, which saw cops called to the couple's London flat twice, started in the early hours of Thursday morning. Amelle was later arrested by police behind the wheel of her £300,000 McLaren Mercedes supercar. Neighbours were woken by screaming and shouting at around 4am. Amelle, 26, was heard banging on the door of the flat she shares with boyfriend Tom Benn, 30. When one worried neighbour raced to the scene, Tom pleaded with him to call the police claiming he was restraining Amelle. When officers later arrived, former model Tom had scratches on his face. One neighbour told us: "It was mayhem. They must have woken the whole apartment block with the noise. It was very distressing because there were all sorts of noises coming out of their apartment. We thought someone had been seriously hurt. "Amelle was beating the door, going absolutely mental. You could hear her screaming and Tom saying, 'For f**** sake calm down'. "He was saying to her, 'I am going to call the police, you're not leaving'. Later he said, 'Look at me I am bleeding, look at me'." Six officers from the Met Police arrived and two went in to quiz Tom while Amelle was taken outside. But 15 minutes later - after police had left the scene - they received another 999 call when Amelle arrived back at the apartment block car park in north London. A spokesman for Scotland Yard said: Amelle Berrabah will appear on bail at Highbury on Friday, October 8 charged with driving with excessive alcohol." Last year Amelle - who forms girl band Sugababes along with Heidi Range and Jade Ewen - was admitted to rehab for stress and depression. http://www.newsoftheworld.co.uk/news/99624...S&ATTR=News

October 11, 201014 yr She was drinking and driving and could have killed someone... why would you feel sorry for her?She was 'sober' the morning after having drunk $h!t loads of coffee.
October 11, 201014 yr It's a very easy mistake to make. At least she's learnt now and won't make the same mistake again
October 11, 201014 yr Drinking coffee doesn't make any difference. the only thing that makes you sober is time and anyone who drinks and drinks does not deserve any kind of sympathy!!!!!
October 14, 201014 yr That's not a good enough excuse - I'm younger than her but don't drink and drive! She did something wrong so needs to be punished for it.
October 15, 201014 yr I know that, I'm not encouraging drink driving at all, I mean last year some boys in my year died from drink driving! I just mean I can appreciate the fact you often think it's out of your system when it actually isn't. I personally think that alcohol remaining in you long after you've stopped drinking should be better acknowledged to the public
