Great news about 'Firework' already getting radio adds. It's going to be a hit and since Bonfire Night 2010 is arriving, I think it's an apt third single with an inevitable XF performance. :D

Apart from the song's not about Bonfire Night - Americans don't celebrate it, and probably don't know what it is. If you listened to the lyrics, you'd know 'Firework' is about the 4th of July...

 

Anyway - this is the perfect single. :D I wasn't that keen on it being a single initally, but it finally clicked and it's in my top three on the album along with the other two singles. :D

I'm not stupid and i do listen to the lyrics, believe it or not. :rofl:

 

I was talking about the UK mainly and even if 'Firework' is being used as a metaphor, it still links to bonfire night and I guarantee it'll be played a lot for that reason too. ^_^

Aw Katy is just amazing. So genuine I love that video and love her more of course.

 

Firework is cracking single for the winter. It's going to be a hit for sure.

It's so different to any cover she's done, I don't know quite what to make of it.

 

US radio adds date has been pushed forward to October 26, good capitalist move considering the video should be out around then. And Firework has already debuted at #34 in New Zealand!

Is she performing this on XF tomorrow night or will she sing 'Teenage Dream'?

 

I think the artwork is pretty average. 'Teenage Dream' is her best single cover imo.
