So me and my friend went to see this as it was Orange Wednesdays and all the films we wanted to see were on too late or we missed earlier (Tamara Drewe, Buried, Devil, The Other Guys etc.) so we went to see this as we thought we may at least get some laughs from it. We did not. It was really f***ing awful, actually one of those movies where it's painful to watch. The moments when it tried to have sentimental value or morals were in particular embarrasing. The jokes mainly relied on slapstick and toilet humour (involved a milk from a woman's breast being squirted on someone, numerous fart jokes, an old woman's bunion etc.). Really only the braindead would enjoy this, truly terrible, worst film I've seen all year by f***ing far. How it made #01 on the box office is beyond me (but then so did The Last Exorcism and Resident Evil so ....).

I wouldn't say it's "awful". It was just really, really disappointing :lol: the trailer looked hilarious, but it wasn't that funny. It was a nice film to watch though as it was quite feel-good and not to be taken too seriously. If you was expecting a serious comedy, you'll be disappointed. Same goes with 'The Other Guys'. The best bits were in fact in the trailer :( (and they missed out like 3 of the best parts in the trailer when I went to see that film. :()

See I wasn't even after a serious comedy, but it was just SO try hard and had so many cliché's that I was cringing throughout. The only bit I really laughed hard at was when the daughter refused to eat her cake with a fork :lol: :(. I enjoy other films that are deemed to be crap (Killers, The Backup Plan etc.) but this was just terrible imo.

I know ... the plot was really thin, I guess it was about them meeting up and then battling against the other group for another game? Seemed pointless.

 

Some of it was so unrealistic as well tbh.
