Loved the first episode will definitely be watching this :)

This season is getting amazing ratings for CW, it's 2nd in the renewal/cancel index so a 2nd season is looking v.likely

I'm interested to see how they're going to tweak this. More female friendly and less action orientated? Er... The CW need to ignore the demographics and concentrate on the ratings, they could end up alienating everyone.

This is completely unnecessary tbh, a Canadian show which ran from 1997 to 2001 did a good job of translating Luc Besson's excellent film to TV (after the absolute abortion that was the Hollywood remake "The Assassin" resolutely failed at the box office), which starred the stunning Peta Wilson as Nikita.. Also, how on earth you can find someone as icily cold and ruthless as Alberta Watson in the "Madeleine" role, just cant be done either, and Shane West is no replacement for Roy Dupuis... The 90s show was a minor classic, and did credit to Besson's original vision, quite cleverly painting Section 1 as being just as bad as the terrorists they were fighting against, although at the same time a necessary evil, good scripting and plotting and some very ambiguous, non "black and white" story-lines were the things I liked about the series. From what I've seen of this 're-boot', it seems to lack the complexity of the 90s show....

I've only caught one episode, and she dislocated her arm or something like that. I literally screamed. :mellow: I'm not good with stuff like that. That said, I enjoyed the episode. :lol:

Anyone still watching this? The 11th episode aired in America last night, and it was great, couple of twists, at least one of which was unexpected imo, and quite upsetting.

Also quite clever how Alex managed to pass the "mole" blame onto Thom, but I don't know how she'll keep in contact with Nikita now

Apparently, the CW has asked for some changes to the show (it doesn't appeal as much to the networks target audience as some of it's other shows), so maybe all this is part of the change?

I have a major obsession with this show, and I can't wait until January 27th! It's fantastic, and I really hope it doesn't get cancelled, I'm enjoying it far too much. :(

I love Nikita. The recent episode was fantastic and has changed the show in ways for us to look forward to the rest of the season. Maggie Q plays Nikita well and couldn't imagine another actress in the role. It's about time we have women kicking ass again.

Just caught up with the US and I can't believe how much its improved! I watched the first few episodes going 'eh, this is ok. It has its moments' and then from episode 6 onwards I have been hooked. Been staying up till stupid hours just to enjoy the fix. Not my usual programme but its doing everything that Dollhouse shouldve done from the beginning.

Last night's episode was my favourite of the season, really liked the flashbacks and the last scene. Pretty clever with

the video, so Division don't suspect Alex of helping Nikita

. Next week's episode looks really good too.

 

Just watched the latest episode and wow. Absolutely hate the fact that there's no new episode until APRIL. Can't wait for the next one I see it continuing on from where this left off and it should be a big one.

I've gone off this a little bit, since it started back. I'm still going to watch it though and hopefully I'll get back into it.

The finale for the season is supposed to be amazing so I will be watching. I loved the finale before the christmas break so if its anything like that then bring it on.
