See the BBC news website, apparently 'more than 140,000 people have now joined a Facebook campaign calling for the return of X Factor hopeful Gamu Nhengu to the show.'

that will probably be changed now after all this bollocks about people creating campaigns and stuff to get her in. I'm sorry but Cher really was unwell and you could obviously tell as she was speaking (not just in her performance) so Cheryl did the right thing to give her a chance as she should be pretty great in the live shows; it's that Katie one who messed up the most, messed up her first audition and now the judges house, how can Cheryl trust her? They're making out like it's Cher's fault (more than Katie)! Anyway Trey-C craps all over Gamu! I'm really getting annoyed with her hype. They're making her out to be the next Leona or something which she's clearly not.

Agreed. I guess it's the bandwagon running out of control :drama:

She's just 'quite good'. What's with all the mass hype  Thing is, if Trey-C gets the wildcard now, there'll be another uproar. Whatever happens or was planned to happen, Gamu will be back on Saturday somehow, by some rule fiddling. I mean, why not just rope in Sinitta or Nicole to mentor Gamu, Trey-C, Paige and Diva Fever - is there really any need for Wagner or any of the other tragic 'overs' to take the place of Trey-C just to stick to a quota :drama:

Gamu is not even on the wildcard pick anyway but it is a shame that the shows producers did not think about how this would play out in advance. Gamu is only 18 and her private buisness is now so public it is very sad.

Does anyone know if it is true that Wagner is though as a wildcard? :o

Someone posted on DS that he was ... he'd put it on his own blog ... but it disappeared later. Having said that ... Yulis was supposed to have been a wildcard too.

Who knows? Who cares?

I do I want to hear Wagner perform "You've Got The Loaf" on the live show.Gamu is definately not coming back unless one of the girls has to drop out and then Cheryl will hold a big press conference sayng Gamu is back thus retaining her title of Nations Sweetheart. :puke2:

Rich I think you're missing Elesha from the overs :P She was my favourite I think. She deserves a spot more than that Wagner fool...

That is one possible scenario that Simon could have planned with his team of scriptwriters. I think she'll be there on Saturday ... as was planned from the beginning. If one of the other girls 'drops out' (or rather ... exits on time, as scheduled) it'll be Katie ... the way Katie Hopkins withdrew herself from the final stages of The Apprentice a few years back ... that was a fix as well.

All this fuss for a very, very average singer.

By the way ... a huge  for your 'You've Got The Loaf'.

So is it Madonna week on Saturday? :o

I bet Matt sings What I Feels Like For A Girl :heehee:

Here are the apparent wild card choices:

Boys: Paije

Girls: TreyC

Overs: Wagner

Groups Diva Fever

Source: X factor updates

I reckon its between TreyC and Diva Fever, if its only one going through- cant see either making it far though- TreyC will probably be this years Rachel/Alisha and not connect with the public, Dive Fever will probably be like Jedward

and Im starting to get annoyed with all this Gamu hype, she isnt that good- her audition imo was bad, her boot camp performance was very good, but her judges house performance was weak

and Im surprised more people dont know yet- but its the producers that get the main say in the choices, Cheryl just helps out!

I still think there'll be two wildcards per category.

I agree with all the Gamu Hype ... planned all along by X-F producers no doubt.

And yes ... Cheryl, Louis and Danni are just delegated the job of giving the good/bad news - I feel quite sorry for Cheryl Cole for all the flak she's taking over this.

wouldnt that make it a final 20? I cant see them doing that many

or do the public vote out of the 2?

These campaigns are annoying. Yeah X Factor's ruined the charts at christmas time etc... but they're ruining the charts just as much. At least campaign with a f***ing christmas song and get the point out there.

Talk about missing the point of these campaigns.

4 and a half minutes of silence at number 1 > every christmas song ever.

christmas songs are so cheesy and $h!t, much like most the x factor.

But I don't get it? They proved a point the first time round... why do it again? Or at least do it with a Christmas song to get the TRUE christmas number 1 back... Try The Pogues or Wizzard or even Geraldine McQueen (which would be ironic seeing as she beat Leon and was made as a joke against X Factor etc...) but just pointless songs that have nothing to do with ruining the christmas number 1 (OK Rage I get it...) like people are complaining about.

because 4 minutes and 33 seconds of silence being number 1 would be f***ing hilarious, and f*** up things for radio, im sorry you have no sense of humour.

Im kind of with Jonjo on this one- and I fully supported the RATM campaign last year

I think once was enough tbh and I think a far more appropriate one would be the Pogues as it will be 10 years since Kirstys death in December

and whilst I would find it hilarious if 4 minutes of silence beat the winner, my point still stands - I think the campaigns will start doing what they wanted to prevent- and ruining the charts, they've already been annoying this year in the charts

I did think once was enough, then the John Cage campaign started.

I think the main point of this campaign is that they'd rather listen to silence than listen to whatever X Factor throws out.

I wouldn't really pick this if I had the choice, a christmas song would be better suited.....but anything's better than a Cheesy Cover sung by the x factor winner being Christmas Number One.

If I had the choice I'd want to see a fairly unknown artist (to mainstream audiences anyway) being supported.

I just cannot get it out of my head that when Louis was talking (crap) on Daybreak/Lorraine last week ... the words 'five finalists' were definitely spoken ... which I took to mean five from each category and not looking ahead to the final stages of the program. It could be done ... and they wouldn't even have to ask people to vote four times (one for each category). Assume they only ask for people to select from the eight wild cards who they'd like to stay. And then (this is where it gets unfair ... but hey ... what does fairness have to do with good entertainment) they keep whoever gets the most from each category. This could possibly mean that two girls could get the highest two votes from the eight ... but only the one who gets the most gets to stay and represent that category.

Makes sense to me.
